Love much!

After the devotion yesterday about forgiveness I read these verses on love and forgiveness....very interesting!

Luke 7:36-50

A Sinful Woman Forgiven

36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.”

So he said, “Teacher, say it.”

41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”

And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

How much do you love Jesus this morning? From these verse this is what they say to me....the more I realize how much of a dirty, sinning, unholy person I am and turn to Jesus with my life the more it says how much I love Him. He has proved His love for me on the cross, am I proving how much I love Him with my life? As James says:

James 2:20

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Works don't save you but they prove you are a lover of Jesus! How much love for Jesus do you have today?

Do you keep a record of sins?

A reminder for us all this morning, if God forgives us, we must forgive others. Thank God for His forgiveness for our sins as we could never stand before Him if He kept our sins held against us. He provided our forgiveness through His Son, Jesus, who shed His blood and died for our sins!

Psalm 130:3-4

3 If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,

O Lord, who could stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with You,

That You may be feared.

Matthew 6:15

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The Psalm verses say God does not keep a record of our sins, and the Matthew verse says if we keep a record and don't forgive we WILL NOT be forgiven! Think on that! There isn't any exceptions that I see either. Not matter how deep the wound we must forgive. This is one of the if not the toughest part of our walk with the Lord, to forgive those who have hurt us....but it must be done.

So this morning, get rid of the score card, give it to Jesus, and forgive....it does the soul good.

Thank God for keeping His anger!

I was listening to a sermon yesterday and the preacher was preaching on Psalm 103. He shared these verse and they really hit home with me:

Psalm 103:8-10

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,

Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

9 He will not always strive with us,

Nor will He keep His anger forever.

10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,

Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

Wow think on these for a moment. So much good stuff here!

1. God is merciful! What if he wasn't? We would be dead and in hell that is for sure!

2. God is slow to anger. Like a good Father he is patient with us!

3. V9 reminds us that time is running out....judgement will come!

4. God sees his children through the blood of Jesus! Therefore we don't get what we deserve...which is death and hell. Also for those that are not saved, as long as they are alive, He is not giving them what they deserve for their sins either as He is patients hoping all will come to see their sin, repent, and turn to Jesus for salvation!

God is so good! Thank you Jesus for not giving us what we deserve!

Great Vacation....don't take them for granted!

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

Well I know some of you were wondering where I was at last week as I did not post any devotions. I was on vacation with my family at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and we had a great time. As I get back to work this morning I was reflecting on the vacation and the thought came to mind of never taking time with family for granted. I don't know about you but I need to be reminded of that from time to time. As I get older these times together seem even more important than ever. Remember theses verses from the Bible:

James 4:14

whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Psalm 39:5

Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor.

Psalm 39:11

When with rebukes You correct man for iniquity, You make his beauty melt away like a moth; Surely every man is vapor.

It is strange how when you are young time is not of importance, time is very important! Enjoy your family guys and if there is a strain in a relationship...get it worked out! Life is too short not to love one another and get along!

God's power over my life.

Can we honestly say this morning I have given God all the power over my life? Think before you answer. My answer would be some days yes and some days no. It is our choice every second of everyday of who controls the power over our own lives.....self or God?

Acts 5:12-42

Continuing Power in the Church

12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Imprisoned Apostles Freed

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation, 18 and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. 19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 20 “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”

21 And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Apostles on Trial Again

22 But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported, 23 saying, “Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside, before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!” 24 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be. 25 So one came and told them, saying, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”

26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, 28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!”

29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Gamaliel’s Advice

33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. 34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”

40 And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41 So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

A few things I want you to see in these verses:

1. God can use us to do great things if we give him our lives as you see he did with the apostles.

2. God has great power and uses it when HE sees fit as in the prison situation above.

3. They apostles were bold and did what God wanted them to do and did not fear man!

4. The apostles rejoiced in being beaten because they knew they were being obedient to God!

5. The apostles DID NOT STOP preaching and teaching Jesus!

Take note of these my friends and march forward!

God's power over death!

God's power over death!

Sadly all of us have had to go through the death of a loved one. H ave you ever seen that loved one come back to life? Yeah me neither! With that mind read these verses:

John 19:31-20:20

Jesus’ Side Is Pierced

31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”

Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb

38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. 39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. 40 Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.

The Empty Tomb

20 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

3 Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.

Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord

11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”

She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”

14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”

She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”

She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

The Apostles Commissioned

19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

My sweet Jesus defeated death! That is true power! He lives, He lives! One day soon He will be coming back! Are you ready? I know I am!

God's power over sin.

Oh my do we need to shout out praises to the Father this morning for His power over sin. Thank goodness He loves us enough to send us a free gift in His son Jesus to die on a cross for our sins. We are so unworthy but yet so greatful.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The best gift we will ever be offered....Jesus Christ. Notice i say offered because it is a choice for us. We can receive Jesus or we can say no to the gift. The choice is ours! BUT remember eternity is at stake!

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

As Paul delivered this good news to the Corinthians, let those of us who have accepted Christ as Lord be busy about the Fathers business and be delivering this good news to others that are in our lives!

Thank you, thank you Jesus for your power over sin! For when You said "It is finished" sin had been defeated!

God's Power over circumstances!

One thing as a follower of Jesus I must always remember is God is in control! No matter what I think HE IS! He is always faithful and just because a situation does not turn out how I think it should has no effect on how God is handling the situation.

Daniel 6:1-23

The Plot Against Daniel

6 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; 2 and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. 3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. 4 So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. 5 Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

6 So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: “King Darius, live forever! 7 All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. 8 Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” 9 Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.

Daniel in the Lions’ Den

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

11 Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. 12 And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?”

The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.”

13 So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”

14 And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. 15 Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

16 So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” 17 Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.

Daniel Saved from the Lions

18 Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. 19 Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. 20 And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”

21 Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! 22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

23 Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.

Even if Daniel had died...God is still in control....we must trust Him no matter what! But when He does deliver be sure to praise Him for He is worthy!

Daniel 2:20

20 Daniel answered and said:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,

For wisdom and might are His.

God is all powerful!

God's amazing power over nature!

Brothers and sisters I could use your prayers this week! I have a VERY busy week ahead. We have VBS all week from 9-12 am. I am preparing to preach two sermons on Sunday. I have to teach the youth on Wed. I am fishing in my first bass tourney on Sat. Then on Monday I am leaving on vacation to Myrtle Beach!

So this week I am going to share our VBS lessons with you on a modified Level!

The Bible verse today is Jeremiah 32:17:

Jeremiah 32:17

17 ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

What an awesome verse to start the week out with. Whatever you are facing this week, give it to God for nothing is too hard for him! Maybe you have a busy week like me, maybe you are having health problems, marriage problems, or maybe no problems at all! Whatever the case praise the Lord for His mighty strength and for the love He has for each one of us!

If you want to join us in our Bible reading today we are reading Joshua chapters 3-4! God made a river stand still for the Israelites to cross! Now that is power!

Have a great day and I love each of you in the Lord!

Our God

Another great song by Chris Tomlin is "Our God". Sit back this morning and worship the King with this song:

This song pretty well sums up everything! Our God is greater, stronger higher, than anything or anyone. And if He is for us who can stand against us? No one! Oh thank you great and mighty God! May your creation give you the worship you deserve this day!

Romans 8:31

[ God’s Everlasting Love ] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Chronicles 16:25

For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods.

Deuteronomy 7:21

You shall not be terrified of them; for the LORD your God, the great and awesome God, is among you.

Psalm 48:1

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain.

Psalm 77:13

Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God?

Psalm 96:4

For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Revelation 11:17

saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

My Redeemer Lives!

If you have not heard this song before...hold on because you are going to worship this morning! I have heard it I don't know how many times and it never gets old! "My Redeemer lives" by Nicole C. Mullins:

Can you proclaim this morning your Redeemer lives? I sure can! Creation shouts it! He has been seen by many after conquering death. I talked to Him this morning...oh my Jesus lives! Makes me wanna shout!

Job 19:25

For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

1 Corinthians 15:54

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-8

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Romans 1:19-21

19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Thank you Jesus, I am so very thankful for all you have done!

We need each other!

The Bible is pretty clear that we need one another as brother and sisters in Christ...check this song out by Sanctus Real:

I can honestly say I don't know where I would be without my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I know they will be there for me when I need a shoulder to lean on and I will be there for them. The Bible is clear we are bear each others burdens both spiritual and physical!

Romans 15:1

[ Bearing Others’ Burdens ] We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Galatians 6:1

[ Bear and Share the Burdens ] Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Are you doing this for others? The Bible also makes it clear we are to pray for each other:

James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

The body of Christ, the church need each other:

Romans 12:4-8

4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians 12:12-26

12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

If you think you don't need anybody you are sadly mistaken according to the Word of God and the church needs you!

Join a bible believing fellowship today and serve as Christ has commanded! Thank you Jesus for placing brothers and sisters in Christ in my life to be such a blessing to me!!!!

Word of God speak

Continuing on with songs that speak to my heart. The song today "Word of God speak" by Mercy Me touched me the the first time I ever heard it. Listen and worship this morning.

God's Word is so important. I can't stress enough of how we need to be reading it everyday. God desires fellowship with His children. He wants to speak to us. He wants to here from us. It amazes me how many folks have never completely read their Bibles! The most important book in a believers life. Does that say something about our belief? It should be of no surprise that the longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 119....guess what the entire chapter is about? Know God's Word and how important it is!

So are you letting God speak to you through His Word....if not start today my friend!

Psalm 119:1-8

119 Blessed are the undefiled in the way,

Who walk in the law of the Lord!

2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,

Who seek Him with the whole heart!

3 They also do no iniquity;

They walk in His ways.

4 You have commanded us

To keep Your precepts diligently.

5 Oh, that my ways were directed

To keep Your statutes!

6 Then I would not be ashamed,

When I look into all Your commandments.

7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart,

When I learn Your righteous judgments.
