Heart #3

Everything we have is from God. Your money and possessions are not yours they are on loan from God. In turn God has commanded us to give back what is his to support His church and help the needy. It is a test of our hearts. Look at these two verses:

Exodus 35:5
5 ‘Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze;

2 Corinthians 9:7 
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

1 Corinthians 10:26
26 for, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”

Acts 20:35
35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

So do you have a giving heart? We are just here on this ole earth for a short time. Nothing is really ours as it all belongs to God. When we meet Him face to face one day what will we say to Him about how we handled what He let us use? Do we bless others with it or did we use it for selfish gains called materialism which when we get right down to it is an idol!
