God created equals...

If you believe God and the bible is His Word then His Word is absolute authority which means nothing and I mean nothing over rides it especially man and his fallible word. So in saying that you need to know this:

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

3a Then God said,

this is how God created everything...He spoke it into existence. Not a big bang....He spoke it!

5 c So the evening and the morning were the first day.

This a 24 hour day folks not millions of years...so we have a young earth!

10 c And God saw that it was good.

Every thing was good. This is important to know because if the earth is millions of years old like evolutionists say then death, sickness, and sin came into the world before the fall of Adam and Eve which makes God’s Word false!

Exodus 34:21“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

24 hour days and a 7 days in a week came from the Word of God which also proves a literal 24 hour a day in God’s creation which also helps prove a young earth.

These are some foundational teachings brothers and sisters... and one other you need to know is fossils and layers which evolutionists try to say prove an old earth but these happened in the flood which would make a layers and fossils buried!

Genesis 7:17 Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.

Man has lots of hole in his theories. God’s Word does not....who you gonna go with....man or God?

God listens!

You can do it!

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

This life of following Jesus is not easy. He told us Himself it would not be many times. This life is a marathon not a sprint and we must endure much as we are told above. As the day to day struggles come our way let us be reminded of the great faithful witnesses of the Bible like Moses, Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Noah, Mary, Peter, Paul, Nicodemus, and John the Baptist. Also don’t forget those godly influences in your life like mom, dad, Aunt, Uncle, a grandparent, Sunday School teacher, Pastor, or even a neighbor who took the time to share Jesus and influence you in the ways of God. All these folks are in heaven rooting for you to endure in the life of following and serving Jesus!

As the verse says there are lots of sins and weights in life that are trying to take us down, keep pushing my friend! This is not your home, heaven is so keep fighting for the Lord and HIS GLORY!

I am grateful that we have a fan club in heaven urging us forward! They have completed their race and may we do the same!

Keep focus!

Go for peace!

Alright it is Monday, we are tired, and who knows what went on in your house this morning as everyone headed out to work and school. Nerves may be on edge so let us be reminded of this:

Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

You are representing Jesus is you are one of His followers today. Are you pursing peace with all you comes into contact today? You may be the only Jesus some see today... let us remember that and make our King proud!

Think on that!

We win!

Every once in a while I like to remind the followers of Jesus that no matter what you are facing in life right now...in the end we win!

Revelation 5:5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

The Lion of Judah, the Root of David is Jesus!!!! He has prevailed! Praise the Lord!

Brothers and sisters we win!

Am I hindering?

1 Corinthians 9:12c endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

Think about what this verse is saying. Am I hindering the gospel of Jesus? Could my attitude, my mouth, my work ethic, or anything else be keeping others from coming to Jesus?

Paul tells us here in the Word of God we are to endure or put up with all things so we will not hurt the gospel being spread or keeping others from Jesus because of US! Paul of all people sure can tell us this as he was in very hard situations but kept Jesus of first importance!

So chew on this verse today to determine if you are hindering the gospel or helping the gospel, then pray and ask God to help you make changes if needed!

Hard times?

All of us have hard times to varying degrees. Just remember this verse:

1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

God knows you are suffering. Remain faithful. In due time God will see you all the way through the difficulty. By His grace and strength w you will overcome. Know you are not alone...God is with you. IF you are in Christ Jesus you will overcome!!! Praise the Lord for He is good and takes care of His own. Heaven is coming for the faithful where we will be established and settled for ever and ever!

Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Easter is over..remain faithful!

Forget the past wrongs and move on for Jesus!

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

Brothers and sisters one thing we must do like Paul says here is forget the past sins and lack of service to King Jesus! Confess that sin and move on:

1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are forgiven...the only one who will keep bringing it up again is the devil to try to bring us down...don’t let him.

Then we are to move on with life keeping our eyes on Jesus and what He has in store for us in our service to him. Sharing the gospel, loving others, and meeting the needs of others as we can.

So are you living in the past or living for Jesus now? Your choice....move!

Day made for you!

Don't ever forget!

Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Judgement is coming. We will all die or Jesus will come back. These are facts. Then we face judgement. Are you ready? The only way you are ready is if you have given your life to Jesus, repented of your sins, and now He is Lord of your life. No salvation and that means no heaven. Plain and simple.

I can say come quickly Lord Jesus I am ready for your return, can you? You can today if you surrender to Jesus, don’t wait do it now! If you need help contact me as I would love to assist you if you need it!

Godly sorrow

Clean or Holy?

1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.

The verse above speaks specifically to sexual sins but it is safe to say it applies to all areas of a follower of Jesus life. So let us see the main points here:

1. God did not call us to be unclean.

2. God called us to be holy.

So as you look at your life this morning....all areas....can you declare you are holy? There is only one way for us to be holy and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. If you have followed Him as Savior, and Lord you are clean in the eyes of God. However, it is a daily grind to live the holy life. When you fail you must confess that sin to God and He will forgive you.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So we are declared righteous by the blood of Jesus for eternity but we also must strive for daily holiness before our HOLY GOD!

Heavenly Father helps us be a holy people before you and may we glorify you this day in everything we say and do.

Sing!

Truthful?

Are you a truthful person. As a follower of Jesus we are be of truth as He is:

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

God makes it very clear in His Word that we delight Him when we speak truthfully:

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

So Think on the truth in your life that you try to live each day. Can you say you are a truthful person? If you are a follower of Jesus truth must be a way of life for us as we represent Jesus otherwise folks want nothing to do with Jesus if we claim to be His but we are not truthful!

Think about this today and be like Jesus and be Truth!

Don't be moved!

One little power of God

Just think about how awesome God is today. I want you to chew on a part of this verse about the awesomeness of God:

Hebrews 1:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Here is the part of the verse I want you to think on: “upholding all things by the word of His power”. What can you uphold by the power of your word? Maybe you are boss at your job and people do what you say, or maybe you can tell your kids what to do but other than that there is not much we can uphold by our words.

OH but not our mighty God!!! All He has to do is speak and it is done! Move a mountain...no problem. Send a lightning bolt...done. Save the world by sending His son Jesus to die for us....complete.

God is awesome and all He has to do is speak and it’s done. Oh one last thing...He has said He loves you....now thats powerful!
