Your Country’s Leaders are not the answer!

Just a friendly reminder from the Lord Himself:

Psalm 146:3-5

3 Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

We must remember people are sinful human beings. Every single one of us. Here God reminds us….there is only ONE whom we can place all of our trust and that is the Lord Himself!

So are you placing your hope in God this day or someone else. I pray all come to their senses and the prodigal son did and come come to the Father where true contentment lies!

I believe man has proven himself that he can not compare to Lord over and over again! Amen?

Jesus knows how you feel!

One thing the scriptures tell us is Jesus knows exactly how you feel and what you are going through….Good and bad!

Hebrews 4:14-15
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Knowing Jesus went through many things and knows how we feel, He sympathizes with us and and can comfort as no one else can as He is God! Even we fail, even though He did not, he knows we are weak and shows great compassion on us! Oh what  a mighty Savior we have!!!

So know this day…Jesus cares about you!!! He is there for you! Cry out to Him if need be or praise Him if things are well for He longs to talk with you!!

Thank you Jesus for being a personal Savior not some distant God who has no clue about us!!!

As we rise to this New day…

As we rise to this new day God has blessed us with let us do as His Word tells us:

Psalm 30:4

4 Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Remember every breath is a gift from God, every second you get with your loved ones is by His grace, salvation is from God alone, the chance to be able to share God’s love with others is a privilege and He has chose you to be made in His image!!! What more do we need???

Praise Him and give thanks to Him for He is God and He loves you!

Thankful for My Ransom

Mark 10:45 For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

Jesus is my Ransom! Is He yours? If you want eternal life in heaven it is a must! No other way leads to heaven but through the shed blood of Jesus to pay our sin ransom!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

Notice, He also came to serve and He expects us to serve others and give our lives for others. It may not be our life as in death, although it could be, it may just mean to give up your time for others!!! Are you willing???

Praise God for your Ransom!!!! Amen????

Lost A Great Man Of God!

Billy Graham who was a great example of a follower of Jesus. He was 99 years old! As far as I know He was never involved in a major controversy and lived a blameless life as we are all called to do as followers of the Lord.

Can you imagine the celebration in heaven as God as God welcomed home His faithful servant???? Oh, I can only imagine!

Billy proclaimed Jesus faithfully to millions and millions! Thus many came to Jesus through his proclamation of the gospel.

Let us celebrate His life this day and also follow His example and bring others the good news of Jesus! Thank You Billy Graham for your awesome example to us. Rest in peace brother!

Pray my friends, PRAY!

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then we must pray. There is so much to pray for….the lost, the hurting, the sick, marriage, our nation, The Leaders of our country, the world, and you fill in the ________.

James 5:16b
16b The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Only God can heal our nation but He demands obedience and worship of himself. Until that happens healing will not happen!

PRAY!

Are You working?

Jesus set the example for us:

John 5:17
17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

As long as Jesus was on this earth, He was working. What was He doing? Loving people, meeting the needs of the people, and providing salvation by giving His life for all who will follow Him.

So what are we to be doing? Loving people, meeting the needs of others, and sharing the gospel for folks to get salvation through Jesus.

Let’s get to work to glorify our awesome God!

God’s Got my back!

As loved child of the Lord, I can rest in the fact everyday that God has my back!

Deuteronomy 33:12
12 Of Benjamin he said:
“The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him,
Who shelters him all the day long;
And he shall dwell between His shoulders.”

Live your life for Jesus and know He is with you all the day long. That is stress relief my friends that nothing els can provide! Thank you Jesus for your great love!

Thank God for listening to us!

I am so thankful for a God that not only listens to us but will act on behalf. Look at this verse:

Psalm 34:4

4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears

I can’t count how many times in my life God has heard me cry out to Him and then He delivers me from a fear. Thinks like sickness, surgery, things my kids are facing, things my wife has to deal with as a teacher, finances, problems in the church, and the list goes on and on. I am so thankful for MY GOD.

He will hear and answer those who follow His Son as Lord and Savior! It is a promise from Himself!

Trust God not self!

Just a little reminder today in where to put all your trust.

Proverbs 28:26

26 He who trusts in his own heart is a fool,
But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.

Jeremiah 17:9

9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

If we can not trust ourselves we certainly do not want to trust some one else who has the same flaws that we have! So in whom do we trust?

Jeremiah 17:7-8

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.

8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear[a] when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Trust in the Lord! For He truly is the ONLY ONE in whom we can trust 100% of the time. For is perfect!

Thank God for brothers and sisters in Christ!

I am so thankful for my brothers and sisters that have joined me in the following of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I do not know what I would do with out them!

2 Thessalonians 1:3

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

We are to be examples to the world and if we can not love one another then we are not doing what Jesus told us to do!

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Do you love your brothers and sisters in Christ? For the church to function properly it is not an option. Put differences and pride behind us and love, serve, and pray for one another! The world will see this and want the love of Christ for themselves!

Is this truly you?

I believe we often need to evaluate ourselves as followers of Jesus. Here is a statement from Jesus we must make a reality in our lives. Is it for you?

Matthew 22:37
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Is Jesus all of this to you? Or is your job more important? Or your kids. Or your spouse. Or money. Or your hobby? It does not take one very long to answer this question because in our hearts we know who or what is #1 and if it is not Jesus we better make some adjustments quickly! Where ever your time, energy, and money is spent is a good indication of who or what you love most!

Let’s take time and evaluate ourselves and make sure we are loving and serving God like He deserves!

Kindness of God

Give faithfully to God

Tithing and giving an offering to the Lord is really quit simple. It is our greed and selfishness that usually gets in the way!

Proverbs 3:9-10

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

God loans us everything we have. EVERYTHING! We are to use what He gives us for His glory and His honor and to survive on this earth He has asked us to take care of.

So when you get paid you are to give a portion to God. Every time not just when you think you can spare a nickel. When you are faithful in giving what God has given you back to Him, He then blesses you even more.

Remember you can not outlive God! So be faithful in giving and obeying Him!

Have you gave God Glory and honor today?

This verse is very easy to understand! You were created and exist to bring glory and honor to the Lord every second of everyday. He is the only ONE worthy of this!!!

Revelation 4:11

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

So the question is are you bring the glory and honor to the Lord this day?

We have no idea!

We really have no idea how great and awesome God is and how great His love is for all of us. He has things inshore for us in this life and in eternity that we have no idea how spectacular they are!

1 Corinthians 2:9
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

How much do you love God? This seems to be the qualification of receiving these things God has prepared. Our love is proved by our faith in Jesus Christ and following Him as Lord of our life. Have you done this?

God wants the best for us and He has provided all we need, it is up to us to follow or chose not to. I pray you follow and experience all that God has prepared for you!

I can’t wait to see what God has for me today and beyond!

Nothing takes God’s Love!

No matter your relationship to God, you nee to know this from the Word of God!

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God loves you! Nothing can separate you from the love of God!!!! Nothing!!!!! Sin in our lives God hates but He still loves you. Just like as a parent, your child will disappoint you when they do something wrong, but you still love them. Same thing with God.

Matter of fact, God loves you so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins! So that you can have a pure relationship with God and spend eternity with Him! Now that is love!

So know this day….God love’s you no matter what!
