Want to be refreshed?

God tells us plainly in His Word what will bring refreshing to our lives:

Acts 3:19

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Here are the steps to being refreshed:

1. Repent-confess you sins to God, tell Him you are truly sorry for them, walk in the opposite direction of your sins, put your faith in Jesus for He is the One who removed our sins by shedding His blood upon the cross.

2. Once you have repented and put faith in Jesus you are now converted into a child of God!!! 

3. Your sins are now blotted out! You are right in the sight of God!

4. Now the refreshing begins! Pray, spend time in God’s Word, fellowship with other believers, and tells others what God has done for you! That is refreshing!!!

God is good! Don’t miss out on the blessings of God!

Let em talk!

We need to remember that when we are following Jesus and obeying what He has told us to do we will be talked about!

1 Peter 4:4 

4 In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.

If you are being talked about because you are being Christlike and not doing the things of the world….rejoice!!! That means you are doing what God has called you too!

The next verse says they will answer to God for what they are doing! So let em talk and keep on being faithful to your King!

However, if we are not being talked about by the world, we may need to check our walk with God because we may be fitting in with the world instead of being obedient to God!

Back to the Beginning! You must know what God did! #7

Verse 21-reminds us that everything on earth that does not live under water died! Every man except Noah and his family in the Ark and every breathing creature! Dead!



Verse 22 -Spirit of life reminds us of the Holy Spirit that at that time would come and go in man. Man was dead on the earth that God had allowed the Spirit to come and go in.



Verse 23- God destroyed all except Noah and family.



Verse 24-Wtare was on the earth 150 days and if we study the time frame Noah and his family were on the Ark it adds up to over a year!!! So God in a miraculous way provided for them and the animals as their food would not have lasted that long without the modern technology we have today!



Noah live by faith in God and had a personal relationship with God. Are we living with that same faith and obeying God as Noah did???

Wait For Him To Lead!

God is in control! He is Truth and knows all! Let us make sure we don’t get ahead of Him and His plan for our lives. He has provided salvation and will lead us where He wants us to go and show us what to do! Wait on Him!

Psalm 25:5 

5 Lead me in your truth and teach me,

    for you are the God of my salvation;

    for you I wait all the day long.

John 15:13 

13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 

Choose not to sin!

It is clear in the Word of God that when we are followers of Jesus we are to strive to be sinless:

Romans 6:1-2 

 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

Some will try to abuse the grace of God by thinking they can still sin freely because God will forgive them. This is wrong! Think about what Jesus did for our sins upon the cross! He died so we can live and strive to be like Him….sinless!

So this day chose not to sin to be pleasing to our Lord!

What are you sowing?

Planting season is here. So it reminds us to look at our own lives and ask…”what am I sowing, righteousness or sin? It is a very important questions you see here:

Galatians 6:7 

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Now remember God will judge you on if you have a relationship with Jesus Christ or not, that will determine heaven or hell for you. But God also sees what we do day in and day out…what we sow….good or bad. Doing good will get you treasures built up in heaven if you have received Jesus, doing bad will cost you blessings and possible be an indication of whether you are truly a follower of Jesus. For once we are in Christ we strive for perfection and if there is no striving then there is a good chance there is no Jesus!

God knows all so let us do allow can to please our Creator! What you gonna sow today?

Like A Mountain

Psalm 125:1-2 

125 Those who trust in the Lord

Are like Mount Zion,

Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

2 

As the mountains surround Jerusalem,

So the Lord surrounds His people

From this time forth and forever.

Get out there and face this world this day! If you are a follower of Jesus you are like a mountain!!!! You can’t be moved because of your faith and the power of our Lord! You are eternal! You will live forever with the Lord! That ought to give you a boost for the day right there!!! AMEN?

On top of all that the Lord is your Protector! Surrounding you forever! Wow! The Lord loves you and will for eternity! 

Think on the blessings of the Lord today, and you can’t help but have a good day!

Listening!

My God loves me and listens to me, I don’t understand it but I believe it!

Psalm 116:2 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,

Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Why our awesome God listens to anything a little ole sinner like me has to say is beyond me but I am thankful that God has allowed me to be His child through the shed blood of His Son Jesus and let’s me boldly come to His throne any time I want and talk with Him and He talks with me!!!! 

Thank you God…and I will call out to you as long as live and then face to face when you call me home!

Is there any other way?

When you KNOW what God has done for you…is there any other way than this?

Psalm 100:2 

2 Serve the Lord with gladness;

Come before His presence with singing.

Joy is in the heart and service with a smile is a believer’s attitude when they know Jesus died on the cross for his sins!!! How can our attitude be any other way???

Sing praises to the Lord and serve Him this day and everyday, for He alone is worthy!!!

Don’t be afraid!

As followers of Jesus we have nothing to fear! God is in control!

Isaiah 35:4 

4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,

“Be strong, do not fear!

Behold, your God will come with vengeance,

With the recompense of God;

He will come and save you.”

Stand strong! Be obedient. Do what God has called us to do…share the gospel, love others, and meet the needs of those who are needy. 

Then one day soon Jesus will come and get us and take us home! Those who persecuted us for for our faith…well God will take care of them if they don’t repent and come to Jesus themselves!

So no need for fear…we are on God’s team!

Yes it is another Monday! So start it off right and give God some praise this day!

Psalm 47:2 

2 For the Lord Most High is awesome;

He is a great King over all the earth.

God is AWESOME!!!! There is no one or any thing greater than our KING!

Remember this and proclaim this through out your day and your day will be great no matter what comes your way!

Thank you Jesus for saving my soul!!! I will praise you all the day long!

Mother's Day 2018

ONLY ONE NAME!

I like how this verse starts out:

Acts 4:10-12 

10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Let it be known!!!! Shout it, preach it, tell it, spread it, and get it out! Absolute saving truth!

“there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”!!!!!

What is that name? Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Only one name saves….JESUS!

That name brings a smile to my face every time, knowing He took my place on the cross for the sins I committed, shedding His blood to save my soul! I freely put my faith in Him and trust Him and my Lord and Savior. For I know that He ALONE saves us!

Have you put your faith in Jesus? Why not now? If you have rejoice and LET IT BE KNOWN!

SEEK!

So what will you seek this day? Money, sex, drugs, alcohol, fame or what is it? This is what God tells us to seek:

1 Chronicles 16:11 

11 Seek the Lord and His strength;

Seek His face evermore!

Matthew 6:33 

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

So are you seeking God today? He should be #1 on our list every second of every day!

Secure!!

This one thing gives me the peace and security I need:

Romans 8:38-39 

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God loves me and gave His own son Jesus to die in my place for the sins I have committed. Thus since I put my faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior nothing can separate me from Him…NOTHING! Not even death! Praise the Lord!

Another verse of security:

John 10:29 

29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

So do you have this peace and security? Only one way to get it…JESUS!

Want to live a clean life?

The bible tells us very plain and simple on how to live a clean life:

Psalm 119:9 

9 How can a young man cleanse his way?

By taking heed according to Your word.

Read, study, memorize, pray, and obey the Word of God and you will lead a clean life. Are you in God’s Word every day? It is very shocking to me on how many who claim to be followers of Jesus do not read the bible on a consistent basis. How can you do what God says if you don’t know what He says????

Let’s all strive for that Holy life before God that He has called us to and thus be pleasant in His sight!

1 Peter 1:16 

16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Back to the Beginning! You must know what God did! #5

Love Relationship

In a true love marriage relationship, you and your spouse tell each other things no nobody else knows. You also know the other person so well over time that you know the answers to a question before it is even asked. It is a deep love relationship.

It is the same with God. When you give your life to Him and allow Him to be your Lord and Savior, special things happen like this:

Jeremiah 33:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

God will reveal things to you that unsaved people do not know or understand. God delights in loving, leading, and giving to His children. It is an awesome privilege to be a child of God. His greatest gift of all is Jesus, which the world doesn’t not understand until they repent of their sins and make Him Lord of their life. Then God will show them even more great and mighty things through the Holy Spirit!

So do you have the love relationship with God? No better day than to day to start. Call out to Him! He will answer!

Your Choice!

God gave Israel a choice:

Deuteronomy 30:19 

19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Here was their options: 1. Choose God and have life and blessings. or 2. Choose false gods and have death and cursing.

Hmmmm doesn’t seem like a hard choice to make does it. Sadly the majority of the time they seemed to have chosen false gods! Thus judgement came.

We also have a choice: 1. Submit to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and live the abundant life both now and in eternity in heaven. or 2. Reject Jesus and follow the gods of this world and die and go to hell.

Hmmm doesn’t seem like a hard choice here either. But once again most choose the gods of this world…immoral sex, drugs, alcohol, money, ect.

So it is your choice. What are you going to do? If you want to talk about it I am always here just shoot me a note or give me a call! God loves you and has provided for you. Don’t turn Him away!

Where is your mind?

We have control over our mind. Sometimes it does wander but we have the ability to pull it back under control? Where is your mind right now? Where does it go when things are tough? Where does it go when things are great? Well God tells us where our minds need to stay:

Isaiah 26:3 

3 You will keep him in perfect peace,

Whose mind is stayed on You,

Because he trusts in You.

When our minds stay on God by reading His Word and spending time in with Him in prayer we trust God because we understand He loves us and will take care of us. We understand this earth is not our home and we are just passing through on our way to paradise with God in heaven forever. So we can endure the bad and celebrate the good and have that perfect peace only God can provide!

So get that mind on God and keep it there!
