To Jesus be the glory through us!

Ephesians 3:20-21
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Don’t miss what these verses are saying to the followers of Jesus otherwise known as the church.

  1. Jesus is able to do great things through us…more than we can ever imagine. We must step out on faith and work on His behalf.
  2. How are these things accomplished? Not in anything we can do but in the power of the Holy Spirit they indwells every believer.
  3. When we do great things for the Lord who gets the glory…..not us but Jesus who alone is worthy!
  4. The church is to do this over and over until Jesus comes to take us home so let us be faithful in training the next generation of believers!

All glory to you my Lord and mat we be your faithful servants!

New day, new week but same God!

I hope you had a good weekend and took time to worship the Lord. Here its is another Monday, but thankfully our God has not changed! So we need to start off the day with praise no matter the situation we are in…good or bad! Read this:

Psalm 59:16

16 But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress.

God is still strong, God is still love, God still protects, and God is with us in our distress and in our stress free days! So give Him the praise He is do and know the best is yet to come when we go home to heaven to dwell with Him for every and ever!

Thank you God for we deserve nothing but you have given us every thing we need!

No better friend!

Having friends is amazing! What would we do without friends? But there is ONE friend who stands out above all and that friend is Jesus!

John 15:15
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Isn’t it wonderful that not only is Jesus our friend but He reveals to us the very words of God! Then we can have the closest fellowship with our God as possible as we obey what God says. What a mighty God we serve!

We also need to be reminded though that not all are friends of Jesus.

Matthew 12:30
30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Jesus as the great God He is loves all but some chose not to be His friend and these folks we must pray for and share the truth with so they may see the light and become a friend of Jesus!

I am thankful for my best friend Jesus! How about you?

God will get you through!

I need to be reminded often that went the pressures of life are upon us that those who trust in the Lord have the assurance from God’s Word that God will see us through!!!

Psalm 55:22

22 Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5:7
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

So Let God have everything, He is in complete control! Trust Him and let those pressures go!!!!

Take time to praise!

Psalm 57:9-10

9 I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.

10 For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
    your faithfulness to the clouds.

I hope that everyday you take time to praise God. He deserves it and He alone is worthy of all our praise! He loves us and created us and has provided salvation through Jesus! Praise Him!!!

If you have problems knowing what to say to God in praise…search the psalms and praise God with the Word! You can’t go wrong there!

Trust in the name of God!

Psalm 20:7

7  Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

In this verse the chariots and horses represent military power. While nations may have much military power, God has ALL the power needed to do whatever He pleases! But He shows love and mercy and desires that ALL should humble themselves and come to Him  for salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God wants peace and love for all people and for those same people to worship Him and obey His Word. Are you doing what God desires? But be warned one day soon Jesus is coming back to gather those who have called upon His name for salvation and those who have chosen to refuse will experience the power of God in judgement!

Trust in the name of God….trust in Jesus!

Trials, Tribulations, and blessings.

Don't forget about God’s Power!

Jeremiah 32:17
17 ‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

AW Tozer said “To reign, God must have power, and to reign sovereignly, He must have all power. And that is what omnipotent means, having all power.”

Living in this world of ours we sometimes forget about the power all-powerful God we serve. The constant pressure from the world can lull us into thinking our God is weak and powerless. BUT oh how far that is from the truth. Just look around…a breath of air, the sun rising, the gospel saving souls, birth, storms, love, truth, changing of the seasons, a rainbow, healing, mercy, and The Word of God! And so much more!

God has given us dominion over the world and Satan is roaming around trying to deceive us into thinking we serve a weak God but my friends don’t be fooled for one day soon Jesus will be coming to judge the world and His power will be seen fully. Be thankful that God has not sent Jesus yet giving more time for the lost to come to Jesus before it is ever lasting too late!

God knows our hearts!

We are not fooling God so why do we think we can even try?

Luke 16:15
15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

We are very good at tryin g to justify our sins before man but let us be warned we will not fool God and our sins are an abomination before God.

God knows our hearts and the only way to be right before God is to get a new heart!

Ezekiel 36:26
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

That new heart is given through a relationship with Jesus Christ as we make Him Lord and Savior of our life! Then our thought and desires focus on Him instead of ourselves!

Have you got a new heart! You can now! Just ask Jesus!

Born Again

We are born. We sin. Thus we are separated from a Holy God. Something must be done for us to be right with God. Here is that something:

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

So how does one be born again? This born again is spiritually so we can be right with God. We put our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives that is how we are born again. Our faith is Jesus’s shed blood covering our sins upon that old rugged cross makes us right with God again. Thus we have been born again! Now live your life for Jesus!

Have you been born again? Jesus tells us you must be to see Heaven! Do it today and if I can help just ask!

Let God direct!

Proverbs 3:6

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Do you go to God in everything and make your decisions only after He directs you? That would be the wise thing to do, huh?

God desires us to let Him lead our lives. Notice the verse says in all your ways not just when we think we need Him! God loves His children and as His children we know He has our best interests and most importantly His best interests in mind!

So let God direct your life for He is a bit wiser ya know!!!

Watch who you hang with and get in the Word!

This teaching from God’s Word is pretty simple and if we want the blessed life we should follow it!

Psalms 1

1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

Simply put…stay away from those who are not followers of Jesus  and read and obey God’s word for the will lead to the blessings of God!

So do we chose wisely who we take counsel from, who we follow life patterns from, and those who mock God?

Are we reading God’s Word with delight, knowing it is the guide book of life and God lovingly gave it to us?

These are very important words from God’s Word let us not take them lightly!

Are you?

Look what God’s Word proclaims:

Psalm 113:3

3 From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.

Nothing else in life deserves the praise that belongs to God…not your spouse, not your kids, not your money….nothing!!!

So are you praising the Lord everyday no matter what comes your way???

Jesus=peace World=tribulation

John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

When we are in Jesus we have spiritual peace and peace of mind. But we are told by Jesus that when we live for Him in the world we will have tribulation. The prince of this world, Satan, is working hard with the time he has left before Jesus returns to turn all he can to himself and they want to destroy followers of Jesus and the truth!

So what do we do? Live for Jesus knowing our time on this side of heaven is short but eternity in heaven has no end! No matter what we have here on earth the good times and the bad, it will not compare to the glory we will experience with Jesus in heaven!

Take the peace! Take Jesus!

Leaders be warned!

As followers of Jesus, everything is to be filtered through God’s Word. Yes even our government. There is no such this as separation of church and state for the follower of Jesus. Nothing is compartmentalized.

So our leaders ned to listen carefully when God speaks:

Psalm 2:10-12

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

To the leaders God says:

  1. Be wise and instructed! In what? God!
  2. Serve the Lord with fear knowing we are to follow His Word! When you obey then you rejoice still with a little trembling knowing we serve the living God!
  3. Kiss the Son means love and respect Jesus! For He is the beloved Son of God who died for the sins of the world!
  4. If you disrespect or dishonor Jesus be ready to perish. If not on this side of eternity in hell!
  5. Put your trust in Jesus and be blessed!

God makes it clear and simple for our leaders and for us as individuals!

Whom do you choses to follow this day?

Only ONE!!!

Acts 4:11-12
11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

This stone that was rejected is Jesus. Rejected by the Jews now rejected by man. Jesus is the cornerstone in which each man must build his faith upon. As we are told here, salvation can be found in NO ONE ELSE! There is no other name in which anyone can be saved. ONLY ONE NAME-JESUS!

Have you called upon Jesus? He loves you and awaits your call!

Redemption begins in Genesis!

Love never fails

1 Corinthians 13:8a

Love never fails.

God is love. Thus love never fails. He desires for us to love others. When we do no matter what the others person does we have done what God has called us to do and thus we did not fail!!!

Are you loving others? This is what makes the follower of Jesus different…love at all costs! That is what Jesus did even unto death!

Let’s win, Lets love!

Keep God Where He Belongs!

AW Tozer said “The first step down for any church is taken when it surrenders its high opinion of God.”

This also applies to us as individuals as well. Sadly we often times want to take the position of God and run our lives the way we think is right when God has given us His Word in the bible to guide us for the most abundant life! Why do we want to override God with our own ideas????

Let us remember: Psalm 48:14

14 For this is God,
Our God forever and ever;
He will be our guide
Even to death.

Keep God in His proper place as God…all knowing, all loving, all forgiving, all powerful, He is everything we need and want….He IS GOD!
