Every day Lord we just need you!!!!

We need more of this!

As always, God knows what we need to do and what is best and He tells us in His Word:

1 Peter 4:8 

8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

If we truly love people in the same way God loves us we can forgive a whole lot easier because we know God has forgiven us. The question is do we love people???

God is not asking us here but telling us to have a great love for people….we must listen and make a difference in this world for Jesus!

Do you love all people?

Remember the Lord's mercy

I read this morning that is should have been you and I upon the cross for our sins and then hell. Thank Jesus for His love and mercy upon each of us!

Psalm 136:12 New King James Version (NKJV)

12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,

For His mercy endures forever;

God is onmipotent-all strong and all powerful. He stretched out His arms in love willingly upon the cross to pay for our sins. And now His great mercy endures for ever!

Think of this often for there is no other God like ours!

Head out the door this day with confidence as a follower of Jesus!!!

Psalm 16:8 

8 I have set the Lord always before me;

Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Let Jesus lead you, knowing He is your strength, and don’t let anything move you off the straight and narrow path!

Be bold, be brave, and proclaim the name of Jesus! We are His!!!

God’s Army

Many times we do not realize the power of God and the army He has surrounding His children in desperate times. Let me remind you how much God has everything under control this morning.

2 Kings 6:15-17 

15 When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

We as followers of Jesus have nothing to fear as God has everything in the palm of His hand and will take care of His children. We may not understand everything but we can have the faith and trust in the One who does knowing He loves us and protects us!

Never under estimate the army of the Lord!!!!

My Lord never changes!

Always remember this:

Hebrews 13:8 

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

God is the standard. He is Righteous, Holy, Just, Truth, Love, Salvation, Fair, Honest, and Good! There is no need to change but when you are perfect you do not change.

It is so comforting to know I serve a God who never changes!

Goal for today and everyday!

What is the follower of Jesus goal for today and everyday???? Here it is:

1 Timothy 1:17 

17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

To bring God honor and glory every second of every day!!! Are you???

Are we burdened?

As followers of Jesus are we burdened for those who do not follow the Word of God and thus are lost because Jesus is not their Savior???

As we see here the psalmist was burdened:

Psalm 119:136 

136 My eyes shed streams of tears,

        because people do not keep your law.

We must be burdened for the lost! We have been sent by Jesus to share the good news of salvation. Always remember eternity is for all….the lost in hell and the saved in heaven. God desires that none should perish so let us pray and tell others what Jesus did for them!

Nothing is impossible for God!

Give your work to God.

As we head into another work week, let us make sure our work aligns with God’s Word. 

Proverbs 16:3 

3 Commit your work to the Lord,

    and your plans will be established.

In life we have to make many choices, including our work. Our work needs to be in line with the Word of God. When it is God will bless it and our work will be in good hands. However, if any parts of jobs violate the Word of God we need to either fix that problem or get away from it. For example if you work for an employer who is telling you to cheat on the numbers. God desires honesty and integrity as taught in the bible and this would be a violation of that!

So this day commit yourself and your work to the Lord, do your best as if working for the Lord Himself because you are!!! When you bless the Lord He will bless you! Let our work be for the Lord!

Music Friday-I will rise!

Relax and sing to the Lord this morning. Think about that day Jesus calls you to Himself. Oh what an amazing day that will be!!!

It is a dark world!

We all know we live in a dark sin filled world. As followers of Jesus we have only one option:

Psalm 119:105 

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

We need a light to navigate our way through this dark world. Our God loves us so much He has given us a light to do so….HIS WORD. 

Are you in His Word daily and do have a good understanding of the bible as a whole? These are a must for the follower of Jesus or you will be tripped up by the darkness!

Get in the Word and be your best for the Lord!

Sing it!

As a follower of Jesus praise should flow from our hearts which in turn comes out our mouths!!! Often songs of praise will just pop into my mind and I sing them!! Sometimes in my head and sometimes out loud! Look what the psalms say:

Psalm 95:1 

95 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!

Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

It does not matter if we sound good, our Savior deserves our praise. Let us proclaim the goodness of our Lord!!! Sing it!!!

Oh what God has for His children!

For those who follow Jesus and have become the children of God remember what God has prepared for you in heaven!

1 Corinthians 2:9 

9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

We do not have words to describe what awaits us in heaven, but we must remember that God will be the crown jewel of it all!!! Seeing, talking to face to face, and worshipping Him for eternity will far surpass the blessings He has prepared for us!!!

So let us live and glorify Him now in everything we say and do! For He alone is worthy!!!

Go into this Monday strong!

As followers of Jesus we need to do this everyday but since it is Monday let’s start the week of right and remember this:

Psalm 16:8 

8 I have set the Lord always before me;

Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

No matter what comes our way today the Lord is going before us! He is our strength (right hand) and nothing is going to move us!

So get out of the way Satan or we will run over you because our God is leading us!

Let’s do this brothers and sisters! Obey the Word, love others, and tell someone about Jesus!

Set The Example

As followers of Jesus we are to set the example for the world. Are we? Let us obey the Word of God:

Ephesians 4:31-32 

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

When we set the example many will want to know what makes us different and then we can tell them….JESUS!

Beware!

The world and especially the USA is doing this very thing often. Let us know the truths of God’s Word and not be fooled!!

Isaiah 5:20 

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;

Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Abortion, drunkenness, homosexuality, lies, stealing, disrespecting others, and the list goes on and on. We take what God says is evil and wrong and say it is good and ok to do.

NO!

God demands us to submit to Him and His Word! We can choose not to but be warned judgement is coming.

Choose the truth of the Word and be set free in Christ Jesus and stand upon that truth not wavering to the right or to the left!

May this be our prayer…

As faithful followers may we join the psalmist and pray this often:

Psalm 119:37

37 Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,

And revive me in Your way.

Help us oh Lord to focus on YOU! Not on the worthless things of this world. 

May you Lord revive us to do life YOUR way. 

We desire to be all you want us to be Lord…give us Your power through the Holy Spirit and may YOU be glorified in every thing we say and do!
