Do you have the Shepherd?

We have many decisions in life to make. One decision is more important than any other. The decision to allow Jesus to be your shepherd. Have you done that?

John 10:11 

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

Jesus is the only Shepherd who gave His life for you! So you could have eternal life in heaven forever. But you must become one of His sheep. Are you willing to give up all and follow Him? Your decision and brother or sister it is the most important decision you will ever make!

No matter what the world and Satan tries to bring my way I know whom I belong to and where I stand! I will not be moved! I stand with my Lord Jesus!

Psalm 62:1-2 

1 Truly my soul silently waits for God;

From Him comes my salvation.

2 He only is my rock and my salvation;

He is my defense;

I shall not be greatly moved.

Trust God not man!

In life be sure to know we are all sinners! None of us are perfect and will let others down at some point. Many tend to look to those who lead our country for answers…don’t make that mistake either. There is ONE in whom we can put all out trust and  hope in…..

Proverbs 29:26 

26 Many seek the ruler’s favor,

But justice for man comes from the Lord.

It is that simple folks! Trust God and His ways for He in the one we will answer to one day soon.

There is only ONE person to look at:

Hebrews 12:2 

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus started our faith, He finished providing all we need to be save upon the cross, counted it as joy to die for you and I, took our shame, and is now sitting at the right hand of God awaiting the command to come and get those who have put out faith in Him to take us to heaven!!!!

So whom or what are you looking at today for answers? If it isn’t Jesus, it isn’t right!

Just look around!

As an outdoorsman, I have been amazed over and over again by God’s creation. It speaks to me and reminds me of how awesome God is!!! 

Psalm 19:1-2 

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament shows His handiwork.

2 Day unto day utters speech,

And night unto night reveals knowledge.

Take a look around and see God. He reveals Himself in so many ways! Don’t miss it!!!

Follow Godly counsel only!

For the follower of Jesus we should take counsel for our lives only from those who also are following the Lord! Why? Because the teachings of the Lord are much different than the teachings of those who follow the worlds ways! Look at this verse:

Psalm 1:1a 

1a Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly

When we follow the Lord and the counsel of godly brothers and sisters then we will be blessed by God because we will be doing His will in our lives!

So be wise in whom your listen to!!!!

No idea!

All of us who love Jesus really have no idea what God has in store for us!

1 Corinthians 2:9 

9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

We must trust God and know how much He loves us and that what He has awaiting for us in heaven will blow us away!!! 

So we keep pushing forward to what He has called us to do….love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus!!!

Already doing this!

As a nation we are already doing this!!!

Isaiah 5:20 

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;

Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Lying, cheating, selfishness, sexual immorality, drunkenness, killing the innocent, and the list goes on and on. What God calls sin as a nation we have accepted and even promoted as ok! God will not stand for this and we will reap what we sow. In some ways we already are but it will get much worse. A Woe is not a good thing and we had better heed the warning NOW!

So it comes down to the follower of Jesus to speak out and to stand upon the Word of God no matter the cost. Stand strong my brothers and sisters!

The Push To Finish Strong

We never know when our days here on earth will draw to a close so we need to heed the words of Paul for ourselves:

Acts 20:24 

24 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

As a follower of Jesus we must put our life in the Lord’s hand. He is in control. Let us serve the Lord daily with joy doing the ministry that WE ALL are called to do and that is share the gospel with others. If we do this we WILL finish our lives strong!!!

Finish strong my brothers and sisters you will not regret one moment of it but will reap the blessings of the Lord!

Desire for all

This should be a desire for all followers of Jesus:

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew me with a steadfast spirit within me.

When we call upon Jesus to be our Lord and Savior we have a clean heart as it is covered by His shed blood. But we need to continue to desire that clean heart each day by being spotless before God. So let us call upon God to give us the strength we need through the power of the Holy Spirit to be pure each day.  From time to time we will fail, when we do confess it immediately to God and continue to seek the clean life God desires for each of us to live before Him!~

You can do it! Live for the Lord!

Faith Alone

Romans 3:28 

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

Faith alone in Jesus Christ is what saves one’s soul. Nothing we can do saves us…IT IS ALL JESUS! 

Once saved we should then desire to serve our Lord with everything we have! He gave it all for us and we should give all in return!

Don’t Worry! Jesus is coming!

James 5:7a

7a Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.

Just a reminder this morning from the Word of God. Be patient and have full confidence that Jesus is coming. We don’t know when but we do know when God says it is time then Jesus will be on His way to take His followers home to heaven!

Until then keep on spreading the good news of Jesus and loving others! This is our duty as followers of Jesus!

Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Romans 13:8 

Love Your Neighbor

8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

This verse is a job for us each and everyday. Make sure your debts are paid and love one another. The bible tells us if we can do this we have fulfilled the law. We are doing what God wants us to do!

So lets be pleasing to the Lord! Love even those who are hard or impossible to love by the power of God, the Holy Spirit. We can do it!

How not to sin!

The bible gives us the advice we need on how not to sin:

Psalm 119:11 

11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,

That I might not sin against You.

Know the Word of God! After all how do you even know what sin is unless you know the Word of God??? When we know the Word then we know what God expects and thus in our desire to be pleasing to our Lord we chose not to sin!

Do you know the bible? It is the key source for the ability not to sin against God so get in it!
