Everyday you have opportunity!
Everyday we have opportunity to do what God tells us in this verse:
Galatians 6:10
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Do good to people. It really does no take much. Open a door, say hello, buy someone a meal, share Jesus, pray with someone, visit someone who lives alone, and a million other things.
When we do good to others it opens the door to share Jesus! We have opportunity the question is will we take the time or make the effort to do so????

The wonder of the Word
Psalm 119:18
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.
May it be the prayer of us all that God will open our eyes to see the beautiful wondrous things of God’s Word. His Love, mercy, grace, and yes His forgiveness through Jesus among a million others things that He has given us in His guidebook for life…the bible!
May we not only see these but may we live them out in our own lives as well!
Thank You Lord for providing everything we need and revealing them in your Word!

Are you pressing towards the goal?
Philippians 3:14
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
What is the goal? A personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior. Then to honor and glorify Him in everything we say and do with the purpose of bring others to Him!
It is our calling….not just the preacher but all followers of Jesus. So are you pressing on no matter what life brings you? I pray we all are and one day soon we will celebrate on the side with Jesus Himself!

We are plainly told to let God’s word dwell in us. We must be in God’s Word daily to allow that to happen. When we do that we grow closer in our relationship with God be cause He is speaking to us.
So the question is….are you dwelling on the Word????

They will not understand
Until a person puts their faith in Jesus they will not understand the peace He provides.
Philippians 4:7
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I am so thankful for the peace of Jesus in my heart. When one can truly put all their trust in Him, they can experience true peace. Knowing God is in control of all and all we have to do is follow and bring Him glory. There is no better life because God designed it that way!

One of God's desire for us
Romans 15:5-6
5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God desires we live in harmony but don’t miss one important part….in accord with Jesus! The only way for that harmony is to have a personal relationship with Jesus. On our own we can not do it. Just look around there is plenty of proof!
Once we are followers of Jesus, we should be over flowing with praise for God which will bring Him glory. So the questions this morning are …..are you a follower of Jesus and are you living in harmony with other believers to bring God glory???
Sidenote: Hard to live in harmony if you are not going to church and fellowshipping with other believers as Christ taught!

Endure!!!

12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
God’s Word is clear…we will face many trials. We must stand the test! The devil is bust trying to bring you down! But when we stand strong in the Lord know we have already won through Jesus!!! Thus we will obtain the crown of life, an eternity with Jesus in heaven! Don’t miss the point that God has promised this to those that love Him!!! If we love Him we obey Him and stand strong in Him!!!

1 Timothy 2:1-3
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,
I think it is obvious that our leaders need prayer! So let us be pleasing to God and lift them up often to make wise decisions that would be in line with what God declares in His word!

The devil places many things before us that are worthless and even evil that many chose to watch everyday. Let us not fall victim to his ploys. While this was meant for Judah, it still applies in principle to us as well. We have a choice each day to trust in ourself or another human being who doesn’t not follow God or we can trust in the Lord and those who follow the Lord. The choice should be simple but we seem to be drawn to the flesh! No!!!…follow the Spirit of God!
God have proven over and over again those who trust Him and follow Him will be blessed and that is where I am going!!! How about you?

When we give our lives to Jesus we are free!!! Freedom from the bondage of sin and the peace we receive from our Lord is beyond description! But it doesn’t end there it is just the beginning. For when we are free it does not give us the license to do what ever we want, it gives us the desire to be like Jesus. Avoiding sin and serving others. This is the freedom God has give those who chose to be His children!

God is true Joy!
Until you have truly experienced God and have a personal relationship with Him you do not know true joy!!! God fulfills us with the joy we all seek!
Psalm 4:7
7 You have put more joy in my heart
than they have when their grain and wine abound.
We cab try all the things we want to find joy…food, drugs, alcohol, relationships, ect., but it can only be found complete in Jesus Christ!

Needed Info!
I seen this quote on the Desiring God twitter account this morning: Jesus doesn’t say, “Just be the true you.” He says, “You must be born again.”
The devil has tricked the world into thinking it is all about “you”! But God has made it clear we are to be holy people and the only way to be holy is to be born again! Saved by the blood of Jesus after we have repented of our sins. Thus we be come a new creation! It is not about being the best you it is being the new creation in Christ Jesus!!!
We all need to be clear on this info and help others learn it as well!
