Better than you?
Philippians 2:3
3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Do you consider others better than you? That is an interesting question isn't it? To answer for myself I am not sure how often I think about people in that way of I am better or they are better. I believe God created us all equal but in society we do not treat people like that. God here in this verse says to take it even further....make people better than us and serve them! That is what God says in His Word we are to do as He did to us SERVE!
So let us keep this mindset always....put others first and serve like Jesus which equals love.

All is Gods!
Psalm 24:1-2
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.
These are some good verses to keep us in our right place. All belongs to God. The earth, the people, the animals, the seas, the rives, everything! God is the Creator thus all belongs to Him and He deserves our worship. In his love for us He has given us choice and we can chose to follow Him or reject Him. We would be wise to follow Him and love Him in return for He has blessed us greatly!

A relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. You let Him have all your issues and keep your mind focused on His will and His ways for your life and your will have peace because you are being obedient to God! True peace is found in Jesus!

A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict,
but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.
We need to be in control of our emotions. As Jesus was always under control of His emotions we need to be as well. People with tempers stir up trouble all the time because they can stay under control. Be patient and calm to keep the conflicts down and to be more like Jesus!

If you are a follower of Jesus you know all the great things He has done for you....especially salvation! Saving your soul from an eternal hell! Have you told your friends and family all that Jesus has done for you and the great compassion He has shown you?
It is our responsibility to share the gospel and the love of God with others! Let's get busy for time is short!

Do you love little or much?
Luke 7:47
47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
Focus on the bold print above. God shows HIs love for us by how much He has forgiven us. He forgives all if we put our faith in Jesus. Now what about us? How much do we love others? If we go by the same measure as God our love is shown by how much we forgive others, are loving much or loving little??? If we are to be Christlike we must give forgiveness and show our love to all!!!

No injury!
Daniel 6:23
23 Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.
Daniel stood strong in his faith in God and was blessed by God in surviving being thrown in the Lion's den. No injury at all was found on him. It made me think about us followers of Jesus. We all have injuries whether it be emotional or physical from life. The good news is because of our faith in God when Jesus comes and we are resurrected from the grave all our injuries will be gone as we have glorified bodies like Jesus!!! No injuries will be found!!!! Praise the Lord!

Use the problems for good!
2 Corinthians 1:4
4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Problems will come our way in life. God comforts His children when these issues arise. Thank God for always being with us through all situations. God wants us to use these problems we have to comfort others when they go through these same difficulties. Since we have already experienced the problem who better to help someone else then us! This shows them we care for them and love them just like God does us! Then we have the opportunity to share the good news of the gospel as well when we help them through their problem!
So let us use our problems for the good and help others!

There is no reason not to trust God! He is always right, always loving, always wants to hear from us, and will always do what is best for us. So trust Him always and go to Him in prayer and reading His Word for the answers to all situations in life. He is our refuge and there is no other place to go if we want what is best for our lives!

Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
We have the bible so we have the conclusion of what God desires from us. Fear God is first for He is God and over all. Keep His Word for it is His love letter to us on how to have the best life and bring Him glory. That's it! It is our duty to follow, obey, worship, and love our Creator! After all He showed us His love by sending His Son to die for our sins so we can be in heaven for eternity!

Give Him your heart.
Proverbs 23:26
My son, give me your heart,
And let your eyes observe my ways.
This the Lords desire for us...for us to give us our heart. Love Him and put or faith in Him. Then we are watch what He has done to show us His love, His mercy, His grace, and the way He wants us to live our lives. How do we observe His ways? By reading His Word and see what He has done especially through our Lord Jesus Christ!
So have you given the Lord your heart?
Do you know and do the ways of the Lord?

Be instructed Kings!

Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
We need Kings, Presidents, and all leaders in authority to heed this word from God. Be instructed in the Word of God and lead accordingly! Serve the Lord with reverence and awe. Rejoice in being faithful to Him. But know as an appointed leader you represent God and you will be judged by Him one day so serve with trembling and fear!
Oh what a difference it would make if all our leaders, all over the world would keep God's word and serve Him faithfully!

What way are you going to go?
Psalm 1:6For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
The Lord knows the way of the righteous alright!!! He is the WAY! He will bring those who put their faith in HIM to himself....righteousness which gives the reward of eternity in heaven! Praise the Lord!
One day soon when He returns the other way of the unrighteousness will be destroyed and for not putting your faith in Jesus will result in an eternity in hell. Let this way not be YOU!

Freedom to serve!
Galatians 5:13
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
A beautiful verse to remind us today what this 4th of July is all about. Liberty is freedom. Our freedom was brought to us through the love of two people. First our spiritual freedom was brought to us by our Lord Jesus. From His great love He took our sins to the cross and died to set us free! Then second here in the USA the American soldier out of love for his country and love for us put his life on the line to keep us free. We are grateful!!!
So may we learn from these two great examples to do as God's word says not to use our freedom to sin but to serve others out of love!
