Praise Him always! We don't deserve a thing from God yet He has provided all we need even His own Son for our salvation! What more could our God do for us???

Thank you Lord for all you do for us, may we live our lives and bless you in return!

Follow the One with the keys!

I don't know about you but I am going to follow the One with the keys and has defeated death and sin!

Revelation 1:18 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

If Jesus has the keys it means He is in control. My God is in control!!! I will follow and obey Him. He has given me an opportunity for eternal life by His shed blood upon the cross for my sin! Thank you Jesus!

So who will you follow today...the One with the keys or the one without???

Who you going to follow today?

Jesus made it simple for us as we make the decision of whom to follow this day:

Matthew 4:19 New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Jesus wants us to follow Him. Are you? He doesn't make us. It is our choice. The devil will put all kinds of things out there for you to follow besides Jesus. For those of us that love Jesus though we must be on watch for this and follow our King.

One other thing...when we are faithful followers we will also become fishers of men as did His disciples. We are to bring others to Jesus to follow Him as well. Don't miss out on this blessing of bringing the lost to the Savior. 

Who you gonna follow this day?

There is no doubt about this verse:

Psalm 126:3 

3 The Lord has done great things for us,
And we are glad.

No matter what this week may bring us let us always remember how the Lord has blessed us! Be thankful and be glad for God is good! Praise Him for He is worthy!

Example for us!

I read this scripture this morning and Ezra is an example to us!

Ezra 7:10 

10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.

As followers of the Lord we are to do the same thing as Ezra:

1. Prepare our hearts....pray and get minds right.

2. Seek the Word....read God's word daily.

3. Do what we read!

4. Teach what we learn to others.

Great example and words from Ezra and we should follow his lead! Are you?

In Him is the only way!

As a follower of Jesus this is life!

Acts 17:28a 

28a for in Him we live and move and have our being

We can try to do things on our own but we will find no peace, no strength, no comfort, no grace, no mercy, and no salvation! BUT in Jesus we find all these things and so much more including love beyond measure! Jesus is everything to His followers. He is true life! Everything else is just a fake!

Thank you Lord for being my life for you are everything we desire as you made us that way!

Yes and Yes!

Do you agree with this?

Psalm 18:1

 I will love You, O Lord, my strength.

As followers of Jesus this should be words that flow freely from our mouths and is deep in our hearts! I love you Lord and will love you forever! You are so good to me and I am so unworthy! The Lord is my strength and there is no other place to go but Him for true strength!

Praise the Lord this morning and love Him with all your being!

Don't be fooled by money!

God warned us:

1 Timothy 6:10 

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

This life is not about money and material things for the follower of Jesus. If we love money over our Lord we have major problems. Money will lead us astray and we will pursue things over pursuing a relationship with Jesus. We need money to survive but we don't need money more than we need Jesus.  God warns us in the verse above that many have gone away from the faith over their greed and love of money! Don't let that be you! 

Use money to survive and then also give money away to those in need. You control the money don't let the money control you!

You don't know everything!

As followers of the Lord we need to be teachable. None of us knows everything!

Proverbs 13:10 

10 By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom.

When we think we know it all...it comes from pride! This brings problems and strife with others when we act like we always know everything! Let us be advisable or teachable and learn from others who have wisdom. Many folks know things we need to learn so lets get that wisdom from them!!!

Get good godly advice...it will be beneficial to us in the long run!

Want to hear God speak?

Oh how true! If you want to hear God speak...open your bible for it is the very Word of God!

Matthew 4:4 

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So get those bibles open and hear the Word of God and then follow what He says!

Just One!

Here it is plain and simple:

1 Timothy 2:5

5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Only one way for us to get to the Father....Jesus! And

John 14:6 

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Come to Jesus and find God! The One and Only way!

Increase or decrease?

John the baptist said these words when preparing the way for Jesus:

John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

As followers of Jesus we need to listen to these words closely. For we tend to be selfish folks. We want our lives to be about us. But there is someone much more important than us and that someone is Jesus. Once we become followers we are to decrease the all about me lifestyle and live the all about Jesus life!

So as you start out a new week, is this week gonna be about you or about our King....Jesus????

Would you like to bring heaven joy?

“I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10

Tell folks about Jesus! Share to good news of the gospel. Tell that Jesus died for their sins so they can have eternity in heaven with Him if they will surrender their lives to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!!

Bring joy to heaven and glorify the Lord! It will bring you great joy to you as well!!!

Do you love or hate light?

Jesus is the Light. Remember that when you read this verse:

John 3:20 

20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

So when we sin...which is evil in our Holy God's sight it is a rejection of the Light! Think on that for a bit. Obviously we as followers of Jesus do not want to reject Jesus or even think of hating Jesus as the Light but that is how serious sin is! We reject truth for sin when we chose to do so. 

Thank you Jesus for paying my sin debt on the cross. Give me power through the Holy Spirit each day to avoid sin and stay true to the Light! I never want to reject you my King!

Are you singing?

As a follower of the Lord we should always have a song in our heart of praise and service to the King. Joy in the Lord! He is good! 

Psalm 96:1-3 

 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Declare His glory among the [a]nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

So are you praising the Lord by singing? Are you blessing His name? He has provided salvation so we definitely have something to sing about! He also wants us to tell others! Are you? It brings Him glory when we tell others about the goodness of our great God!

Sing His praises church! He is worthy!

If you are follower of Jesus, we are His servants, and we are imitate Him. So whatever it is we do today....give it you all! For Jesus! Bring Him glory and honor!

His is worthy of every ounce of effort we put into this day!

1 Samuel 2:2 

2 “No one is holy like the Lord,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.

1. Only God is truly holy.

2. The is no god besides the one and only God.

3. God is solid and unmovable and nothing or no one is like Him!

Oh what an awesome God we have who loves us and desires us to love and follow Him! Still hard to believe He desires sinners like us! But He does through His Son Jesus!
