For His Glory!

 Psalm 23:3

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

This is a great verse and it tells us 3 things.

1. God can restore our soul unto Himself through Jesus Christ. He makes our soul holy again before Him by the shed blood of Jesus. Thank you Lord!

2. God then leads us through the Holy Spirit down paths of righteousness by convicting us of right and wrong according to His Word....the bible.

3. What is the purpose of the first 2 point? For us to bring Him glory. To uphold His great name!!!

God has always had a plan for each of us but we must be willing to follow His plan for His name's sake!

 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. -Matthew 5:16

Our lives are to be about helping others. Showing them Jesus through our lives and words. When we do this we glorify God and give opportunity for people to praise God!

So let us ask ourselves are we doing good for the glory of God????

New life!

 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! -2 Corinthians 5:17

Do you have the new life? When we put our faith in Jesus we start a new life. The old life has been forgiven because we are sinners and we walk new in Christ!!! Thank you Jesus! For now we can be with God in heaven covered by the blood of Jesus!!! Now that should make you shout this morning!!!

Are you a new person??? You can be! come to Jesus!

Always remember we can relax! Jesus has taken care of everything for our eternity and day to day life as He is in control of all! He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Enjoy the peace that only He can provide because no matter what happens today...you win in Christ!

We all lack wisdom about many things in life. Where do we go? We are told here to go to God and He will give you the wisdom you need!

Our life is to be directed at all times by the word of God, the question is....are we allowing that?

If we are ashamed of Jesus or His words then when He returns He will be ashamed of us!!! Let us be bold and proclaim Him and His words to the world!!!

We should take time often to think about all the good things God does for us. When we do this it should lead us to praise His name for He is so good to us! Try this! Sit down and start making a list of all God has done for you, it will make you thank Him over and over again!!!

Do you have life?

1 John 5:12

12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Here we are told what true life is about! It is about Jesus! If you have Jesus as Lord and Savior you have life and have for eternity! But if you do not have Jesus as Lord and Savior then you do not have life and your eternity will be in hell. Our whole purpose is to have a relationship with God and if we do not have that we do not have life!!!

Stress comfort!

 Psalm 94:19

In the multitude of my anxieties within me,

Your comforts delight my soul.

Oh is this verse ever true! We have all kinds of stresses these days coming our way! We need relief. Where can you find that relief? In our Lord and Savior Jesus!!!! Get in His Word and spend some time in prayer. Give Him your anxieties and His comfort will delight your soul! 

So thankful for a God who cares!!!!

Do you know love?

 1 John 3:16-17

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Here we are given an example of how we know we love others!

1. Lay our lives down for others.

2. Meeting the needs of others with what we have.

So are we giving ourselves for others to show them our love. Time is very valuable do we give it for others? And do we use our own blessings from God to help those in need? 

These show if we know what godly love is....how are you doing in showing love?

Who did Jesus come to save?

 Matthew 18:11

11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

Jesus came to save us all!!! We were all lost in our sins but Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins. So we need to help others realize they are lost and tell them about our Lord and Savior Jesus!!!

Confess your faults to one another: James 5:16

Use hospitality to one another: 1 Peter 4:9
