Keep doing good!

We can get to a point in life when we say what is the use in helping others and doing good for others. As it seems no one is looking out for us or helping us when we need it. But God says:

Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
As followers of Jesus we are to keep doing as Jesus would. Keep doing good and helping those in need. For this side of heaven is temporary and the rewards we will reap in heaven are coming soon. Keep our eyes focused on Jesus and being His servant. Share the gospel and love others!!!
Life can wear us down but we have the power of the Holy Spirit! Keep going!

Are we helping the kids?

Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” —Mark 10:14

Think about that verse for a few moments. Are we helping kids come to Jesus or are we hindering them? Kids need direction and help as they grow in what they should do and what they should not do. Are we directing our kids to the bible, church, and the ways of Jesus. Or are we hindering them by putting letting them spend hours upon hours in front of phones and tv, constantly practicing and playing sports, or a number of other things that we put in front of Jesus?

We know the answer and had better get our priorities straight as Jesus gave us a clear warning above...."do not hinder"!

Easy to get caught up!

Everyday it is easy to get caught up in the affairs of this world. Life is coming at you in every direction! We must keep our focus on the most important:

Colossians 3:2

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
May we stay focused on the eternal that leads to heaven. Focus on loving others and sharing the gospel with the world. The things of this world will pass away but the things we do for God will last for ever!
So set your mind on godly things, not the things of this world!

Keep going!

We all have a race to run called life. All of our races are different. God knows the race that each of us have. Read this

Hebrews 12:1d

12d  and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
May we all know the most important part of our race is what we do with Jesus. Accept Him or reject Him? Then as we continue our run what kind of service will we give our King as we run through the hurdles of life. He desires we run with endurance, knowing it will not be easy as Jesus told us in the bible.
So run strong and keep your eyes on Jesus with the finish line being heaven. God loves you and is right beside you every step of the way! Don't let anything stop you from being a servant of the King!

Only true if....

These words are only true if you are a follower of Jesus!

Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

You see the goodness and mercy talked about here comes from Jesus. He has offered it to those who claim Him as Lord and Savior. Once He is our Savior we have this mercy and goodness for the length of our lives on this earth. Then when we die He takes us home to heaven! FOREVER! Praise the Lord!

We more can one ask for??? God is good! But remember you must be a follower of Jesus!

Need help?

I need help everyday with something in my life. As a child of God I have the promises of scripture to turn to and that is exactly where I go....to God!

Psalm 121:1-2

121 will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

The Lord is always there and loves us so very much. He is our help and desires for us to come to Him! But don't use Him....He wants us to come and fellowship and worship Him everyday!!! Not just when we need something!

So thankful for my help....The Lord!!!! I hope you are as well!

Get the prize!

God's Word says:

Philippians 3:14

14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
We get tired! Things try to get in our way to stop us. BUT We must continue to press on serving God by sharing the gospel and loving other people. This is our calling! God calls all of His followers to these two things! Then  servants of the Most High King Jesus, one day we will get our prize! Eternal life with our KIng forever!!!
So keep going! God loves you!

Made to work!

God made us first of all to have a relationship with Him. He loves us and made us in His image. I am thankful we have a God who wants to have a relationship with me!!! Secondly we have a God who made us to work for His glory!

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
We are to love others, meet needs, and share the gospel. That is what God planned for us to do from the beginning. Become followers of Jesus and then be servant workers for the glory of the Lord!
Are you doing what you were designed to do??? I pray you are and if not start today!

Put others first!

God's word makes it clear...we are to put others first!

Romans 12:10

10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
Jesus put us first by going to the cross for our sins, What love He showed us! Now He wants us to do the same to others. So let's do it! Put others first even when we don't feel like it!!!

Love and Patience.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [a]us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
When we read the above verses we must remember several things.
1. All God's promises will come true. One promise that remains is for Jesus to return and judgement to come.
2. God is longsuffering. God is patient and loves us very much. This is why Jesus has not already come. He is giving as much opportunity as He can for folks to repent and come to Jesus before He sends Jesus back.
3. In His mercy and love, God does not want anyone to perish! He made us in His image and wants us to be in heaven with Him. BUT He will not force anyone to follow Jesus! Everyone has free will.
Some let us all pray and share the gospel with others. We also desire that no one should perish but come to Jesus for salvation!

Be reminded...

Romans 12:2a

2a And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
We are in a constant battle everyday! The devil is doing his best to pull us down into the world and live like he desires us to live...worldly! But we are called by God to live differently. Called to be transformed into Christ like followers of Jesus. We do this by renewing our minds day by day by the Word of God and spending time in prayer with Him.
We can do it! Stand strong with the power of the Holy Spirit and bring God glory by living for Him!

Only One is right.

Psalm 118:8

It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.

Eternity is certain. Heaven and Hell are real. A relationship with God can be had for the one who puts their faith in Jesus. God has told us this in His Word. Man will tell you to get all you can, anyway you can, and to live your life for yourself. God says surrender your life to Him and have the abundant life.

Who you going to believe? God or man?

I believe I will go with God the One who gave His Son for me and loves me!

Hold on!

These days are hard. Many times it seems we have no where to turn for hope BUT for the follower of Jesus we do have some where to turn....Jesus!

Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
We have nothing to fear and a hope that is sure! Jesus is coming soon for those who have put their faith in Him! He did everything He said He would by going to the cross, dying for our sins, and resurrecting from the grave. One promise He has yet to fulfill...coming back for those who love and follow Him....us believers! That will happen soon!
So hold on...no matter what the day may bring cause our Jesus is coming soon!
