Trust God

God is God. We must always remember he knows all. This is hard to understand for us but it is the truth. So as followers of Jesus we trust God in every area of our lives....even when we don't understand what is going on or why something is happening.

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

God loves us more than anything He created. Whatever is best for us will happen and we need to understand this verse above. His ways and thoughts are way beyond what we can comprehend in many ways. Trust Him. Love Him. When we get to heaven one day we will realize how much God did for us and we didm not even realize it!!!

Good to be corrected!

When we are children of the then Lord. being corrected is a blessing for it will put us back on the right track if we heed the correction!

Proverbs 3:11-12

11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Being corrected is needed for the child of God from time to time. Praise the Lord that He loves us so much that He takes the time to correct us and forgive us for our sins!

Thank you Lord for your great love and you corrections in my life!

Test of a fool!

Here is one way to test to see if one is a fool:

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

First, a fool will reject God. Second, a fool hates the wisdom and instruction that comes from God. It seems by this test there are many foolish people. Let us not be one of them!

Jesus is what we need!

I thought this was pretty interesting!

Science says we need 4 things to survive:
1. Water 2. Air 3. Food 4. Light
Heres what the Bible says about Jesus:
1. “I am the Living Water.” 2. “I am the Breath of Life.” 3. “I am the Bread of Life.” 4. “I am the Light of the World.”
Science is right. We DO need Jesus to survive

Jesus is what we need!!!

Good news for the saved!

A reminder of the good news of being saved by our Lord Jesus!!

Psalm 49:15

15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave,
For He shall receive me.

When death arrives for the follower of Jesus we are going to be with Jesus in Heaven forever! No grave for our souls....straight to the arms of Jesus! Now that is something to think about to start your Monday off!!!

Have a blessed day and tell somebody about Jesus so they can have the opportunity to be saved and go to heaven!

Build them up!

A great reminder from the Word of God:

Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
We are to build people up in a godly manner. Too often we say things to hurt people, so here God tells us to watch what comes out of our mouths. Talk in a way the lifts up not tears down. Just think of the difference this would make in the world if we all would obey this Word from God!

How many times?

How many times has God relieved you of your distress?

Psalm 4:1

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

God is so good to us! As I think over my life the times Gos has heard my prayers when I called out to Him in distress of some situation and He showed me mercy by relieving my problem, I can't count the times he has done this! Oh how God loves us! Thank you Lord fo loving your children and taking care of us over and over again.

Let us be grateful for what God has done and will continue to do for those who love Him!

Conquer the Day!

The only way to conquer each day is through Jesus!

Romans 8:37

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
As followers we know Jesus has conquered death and sin, so with the power of the Holy Spirit living in us that Jesus sent to us, conquering each day is nothing compared to death and sin!
Keep those eyes focused on Jesus and live for Him! Beat the day through Jesus!

Be careful what you say!

Let everyone of us be very careful of what we let come out of our mouths!

Matthew 12:36

36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
As followers of Jesus we are to lift up and share the love of God with others not tear down or try to destroy others. God tells us here we will give an account for the words that come out of our mouths so let us be careful what we allow to come out of them! Use our mouths in a godly way and we will have nothing to fear!!!
Build folks up in the name of Jesus!

Will you hear these words?

All followers of Jesus should long to hear these words when the Lord calls us home:

Matthew 25:21 New King James Version (NKJV)

21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Once we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior the work begins! We are servants and have jobs to do and to do well! Serve others, love others, meet needs, and share the gospel! If we are not doing these things we are not doing what Jesus called us to do in the scriptures.
May we be the faithful servants Jesus has called us to be!

Solve your heart problem!

Broken heart? Hurting heart? You have no heart? Whatever heart problem you have I have the answer!!!

John 14:1

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Give your heart to Jesus and He will solve your heart issues!!! Most of our heart issues come because we are trying handle the issue on our own. Give our hearts to Jesus and let Him take all our cares upon and our hearts will be so much better!
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

God loves you....give your heart to Jesus! You won't be disappointed!

Tell Him often.

As in any relationship, but most importantly this one, we need to let the Lord know how we feel often!!!

Psalm 18:1

18 will love You, O Lord, my strength.

The only thing I would change in this is I would remove the word will!!! I love you Lord! Say it often. Let the Lord know how much He means to you! As this verse finishes out....He is our strength. Without Him we are nothing and have no hope. But with Him we have all we need and much much more!

God is love and He deserves our love above all else! Let Him know how much He means to you daily!!!

Hear, believe equals life

The Lord makes it simple for us:

John 5:24

24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
1. Hear the Word of God.
2. Believe in God and Jesus
3. Eternal life is granted to those who believe and follow Jesus!
Very simple but yet so hard for many to do. Believe the Words of Jesus as they have the power to save and give life!!!!

Music Friday-Tauren Wells - God's Not Done With You (Official Music Video)

Always remember you are in God's hands and He is not done with you!

Do we really need any one else?

Think about this:

Romans 8:31

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
If God is for us, do we really need anyone else? The answer is no! While we do like to have relationships with others, if God is with us then He is all we need! The key though is to have that personal, intimate relationship with Him through Jesus our Lord and Savior.
When we are living for God and doing things His way we win no matter what comes our way! So let's be faithful servants for God is for us and with us!

Be careful who you spend time with!

God gives us fair warning in His Word about folks we spend time with:

Proverbs 13:20

20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

You become like whom you spend time with. Spend time with godly, wise people and you will over time become like them. However if you spend time with fools over time you will become like them. Pretty simple but yet oh so true. Choose your friends carefully!

Lord help me chose friends who follow You and search your Word deeply for wisdom and instruction. Our goal is to be like you and love others! Thank You Lord for loving us and guiding us!

Give it to God!

Whatever you face this day that you think is impossible, turn it over to God and let Him take care of it.

Matthew 19:26

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
For God to move you must put your faith in Him. When you do God will take care of you. He will do what is best for you in your situation. You must trust Him! But remember He is God and what is best for you may not be what you want! I have found many times that what I wanted was not the best but that God's way is ALWAYS the way!
God loves us, and nobody does something that is not best for the one's they love. Trust Him! He will do what's best for you!

Israel is God's and so are you!

This is a two fold message:

Isaiah 43:1

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.

While this verses was addressing Israel, as they are God's chosen people whom God used to bring salvation to all. I believe the message also can be applied for those who have called upon Jesus as Lord and Savior.

1. We have nothing to fear...we are God's children.
2.God has given all the chance for redemption through Jesus...have you received it?
3. God knows your name. He is a personal God. He made you in His image!
4. You are God's! The question is will you accept that and live for the One who made you and gave His only Son for your sins so you can be redeemed!

What a beautiful Word from God. chew on that today. Praise God for His goodness!
