1 Thessalonians 5:2

Are you ready? Jesus can come at any moment! When He returns decision making time is over. You have either trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior or you have not. This decision is the most important decision of your life as it will determine if you go to Heaven with Jesus or to hell. Don't delay for Jesus could come at any second! He is worthy of all glory, honor, praise, and worship for He died for your sins so you can go to heaven if you put your faith in Him!

Thank you Lord Jesus for salvation, we love you!!! Come Lord come!

 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

As followers of Jesus let us all be aware that the devil is after us and desiring us to sin against our God. We do not need to think we are above sin for God tells us in the verses above that it can happen! BUT we are without excuse because God has given us a way out of every sin we come against. We can do it but it is up to us! Be in tune with the Holy Spirit. He warns us of sin and we must listen and walk or run away!

Be on the lookout and stand strong against the temptations of the devil and bring glory to the Lord!

No doubt who is in control!

 Psalm 103:19

The Lord has established His throne in heaven,

And His kingdom rules over all.

Let us know with out a shadow of a doubt who is in control.....God. He sees all, He knows all, He has all power, and all is in the palm of His hand. We may not understand why some things happen but we can rest with confidence that God has everything under control and He has a plan to bring His children home when the time is right!

Live for the Lord and know He has you in His loving arms! Trust Him for He knows what He is doing!

That I might not sin against You.

A few things to learn here:

1. Seek God with your whole heart! Go after God with all you got!

2. Don't wander from His Word! Obey the Word of God!

3. Learn the Word of God. Keep it in your heart so you can pull from it often!

4. WE want to be sin free! We will sin but our goal is not too! When we do confess it up to God and h

He will forgive you!

 The most important question of your life..."who do you think Jesus Is?"

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

There are only two answers:

1. Jesus was just a common man.

2. Jesus was the Son of God, Savior of the world.

Where you spend eternity hinges on your answer. 

Do some research on it. You will see there is proof Jesus is the Savior of the world!!! Give your life to him!!

Let's not be a fool.

 Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

It is foolish not to be in the Word of God learning everything in it to live our lives to the glory of God! The bible tells us fools despise the wisdom and instruction of God. Let us not be fools and dive deep into His Word and then live it out daily in our lives!!!

Are you thirsty for God?

 Psalm 42:1 

As the deer pants for the water brooks,

So pants my soul for You, O God.

Have you ever seen a thirsty animal? It is so thirsty it will drink from anything that has some water in it!! For example a mud puddle. They need water!!! This is how we are to be for God! We go after Him because our lives depend on it. We seek Him, find Him, and spend time with Him. The will deepen our relationship with Him. Then we obey and serve Him. 

How thirsty for the Lord are you???

Make Jesus Known!

 Psalm 105:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord!

Call upon His name;

Make known His deeds among the peoples!

This is a great verse to start the week off with! 

1. Give thanks to the Lord! He has done great things and deserves our thanks throughout the day!

2. Call upon Jesus name! We need Him and He desires us to call upon Him in good times and bad times!!

3. Tell everyone the deeds of Jesus. The world needs to know what Jesus has done for us! Especially the good news of taking our sins upon the cross to provide salvation if we will just put our faith in Him!

Thank you Jesus! You are worthy of all praise and honor!

Is God everything to you?

 Psalm 23:1

 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

King David figured it out sometime in life that God is all He needed. Have you and I done the same? We get so caught up in life and things of the world that we lose focus of the main thing....God!!! He is all we need and what our lives are to be about!!!

Think about that today...can you say God is everything to me??

Instruct, teach, and guide!

When you follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, look what God will do for you!!! 

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;I will guide you with My eye.

God will instruct you, teach you, and guide you in the way you should go with your life!!! If we listen and obey we can't go wrong. This is why we must spend time with Him everyday in prayer and bible study so we can from Him and be led by Him!!!

There is nothing better than for God to show you the way in life!!!

Have you heard the Word of God?

 John 5:24

24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

A couple thoughts on this verse:

1. We must hear the Word of God!

2. We must believe the Word of God to be saved specifically the gospel.

3. Others must hear the Word of God so we have a job of sharing the gospel with others.

4.Have we believed? Have we told others?

Important words from Jesus, let us not take them lightly!

Go after God!

Read this:

 1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the Lord and His strength;

Seek His face evermore!

The bible makes it clear to seek (go after) God. He wants us to come to Him. This is where we get our strength to face all situations in life! Thus is also how we get closer to Him as we build our relationship with Him. Here is another verse:

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Are you going after God each day??? Go! Go! Go!

Your family!

 Read these words from Jesus carefully:

Luke 8:21

21 But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Jesus family was outside wanting to talk to Him. These words were His reply. So what can we draw from it? 

Once we become followers of Jesus our true family is those who have also trusted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Those who have heard the Word of God and obeyed. Again this is a teaching of how important a church family is, atleast the true believers in the church!

Do you put more importance on your family or on your fellow brother and sisters in Christ?

Chew on that today!

More for God than you!

Notice that the prayer that Jesus taught when asked to teach them to pray has more to do with God that it does for you!

 Matthew 6:9-13

9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven. 

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one. 

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. 

Amen.

We lift up the name of God as Holy! We pray for His Kingdom to come. We pray for His will to be done. We ask Him to meet our needs. We ask Him to forgive our sins. We ask Him to forgive those who sin against us. WE ask Him to lead us away from temptation. We ask Him to deliver us from Satan. We acknowledge His Kingdom is the greatest!

Does your prayers sound similar to this??? This is how Jesus said we should pray!

Is God the Lord of our nation?

I want you to think on the question of the title. Then read this:

 Psalm 33:12A 

A.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,

While this verse primarily refers to Israel, I believe it can apply to any nation who will have God as their Lord! Our nation was founded on the freedom to worship the God of the bible freely as well as to worship or not to worship what you want. The majority worshiped God when this nation was formed. Can we say that now? I am afraid to say that we can't and until we as a nation turn back to God we are losing His blessing! It all starts with you and me! Let us proclaim Jesus as Lord and live for Him!

The glory of heaven will be worth it!

 Romans 8:18

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

No matter what you are going through this day we must remember as followers of Jesus this side of heaven is not our home and what we receive on the otherside of being with Jesus for eternity will make us forget everything bad we ever went through on this earth! Live for Jesus it is worth all we have to face!!!
