Authentic?

 “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Galatians 5:24

One of the signs that you have truly followed Jesus is found in this verse. We die to our fleshly sinful desires and passions and replace them with the will of God for our lives. He gives us the power through the Holy Spirit to overcome! Praise the Lord!

So lt us all look at our lives....are we still doing sinful activities to fulfill our fleshly desires? If so we had better look deeply to our relationship with Jesus....is it authentic?

Today we remember those who gave all so we can enjoy our freedoms. Lord we give thanks for these men and women and ask your blessing on each of them.

In life everyone will let you down at some point. Well, everyone but ONE. That ONE is Jesus! You can count on Him every single time! There will be times you think He let you down but over time you will realize He didn't because He knows best in every situation!

Keeping God where He belongs!

Have you ever had the opportunity to meet somebody famous? Somebody you always wanted to meet. You remember how nervous you got? Now think about meeting God. Think about who God is and what He has done. The most powerful, smartest, eternal, and all-knowing person ever! While God is love, He is God and we need to remember who He is and uphold the glory of the God, keeping Him in HIs proper place.....ABOVE ALL!

“Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord.” Psalm 114:7

Psalm 119:147-148

                             

                                                                               I rise before dawn and cry for help;

    I hope in your words.

My eyes are awake before the watches of the night,
    that I may meditate on your promise.

Notice in the morning through the night, we need and our hope is in the Word of God! It is our guide book for life and where we draw our strength along with prayer!

Where do you draw you strength from? If it isn't God's Word then you are turning to the wrong source!

Loving God with all you got?

 Matthew 22:37

37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Here is how we are to love God! With everything we have!!!! Are you putting into God what He has put into you? This is what He desires and He is obviously worth of every ounce of love we can give Him!

So think on that today....are you loving God with all you got?

Stand Strong!

 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

The ways of God and following Him are under attack. We must stand strong upon the Word of God knowing God is with us and always will be! One day soon He will be coming back to set all straight. Continue to do the work of the Lord and bring glory to His name!!!!

Foolish thinking

 Psalm 14:1

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”

This verse speaks for itself as does all of God's word. Anyone who does not acknowledge God is a fool. Sadly when death arrives they will find out just how wrong they are!

Thank you Lord for all the signs you give us to reveal yourself to us including your love letter to us...the bible!

Masterpiece

 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10

God created you just like He wanted you. A Masterpiece! Remember that. Then when we live our lives and get all dirty with sin He gives us a chance to become anew through through faith in Jesus! God had everything planned out. Once you are anew you are to do the good works He has planned out for you to bring Him glory!

So masterpiece have you been made anew? Are you doing the good works God has planned for you? If yes great!!!! If no why not start today?

A question we all must answer!

 He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "You are the Christ."

Mark 8:29

We all must decide who Jesus is.....Is He the Messiah our Savior or not? Our eternity in Heaven weighs on our answer. IF we agree He is and put our faith in Him alone for salvation then we will spend eternity in heaven with Him. If we say no He is not then we will spend an eternity in hell. It really is that simple!

So what is your answer?

In victory or in defeat?

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth Philippians 2:10

One day all will bow at the feet of Jesus. Some will bow in victory as we follow our Lord and King Jesus. Others will bow in defeat as they saw fit to refuse to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Everyone has a choice. God loves you and created you, why would you not chose Him???

What are you putting into God?

 With God what you put into Him is What you get out of Him. It is not about bribery but faith. 

“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6

So what are you putting into your walk with God? What does your service to the Lord look like? Are you giving Him all you got or as little as you think you can get away with?

Never changes!

 “The heavens are the work of your hands.

They will perish, but you will remain;

they will all wear out like a garment.

You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,

but you are the same, and your years have no end.”

Psalm 102:25–27

God is eternal and will never change. With all the changes we see everyday it is comforting to know we have a God who is perfect and Holy and will never change! Something we can count on!

Thank you God for being our foundation and rock for stability!

Why?

 Psalm 43:5

Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me?

Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, 

my salvation and my God.

Yes hard times come. We as followers of Jesus though have hope no matter the situation we find ourselves in. No reason to be downcast or in turmoil...turn it over to the Lord and remind yourself of your hope in Jesus! Praise the Lord for you salvation and for Him being your God!

So why are you downcast and in turmoil again??? You have Jesus and He is all you need!

 Proverbs 11:30

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,

And he who wins souls is wise.

God is clear in His Word that our fruit as righteous people in Christ is helping people find the tree of life which is salvation! One who is wise wins souls for Jesus by sharing the gospel!

Are you being wise and sharing the gospel to the lost?

Seen it!

 Psalm 50:15

Call upon Me in the day of trouble;

I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

I have personally seen this verse fulfilled in my own life many times. I pray and call upon God and He answers. Now I give Him praise for His love, faithfulness, and His care for me!

What about you? How many times have God helped you in your day of trouble?

Why did Jesus come?

 Why did Jesus leave the glorious heaven to come to this sin cursed earth?

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

Because He loves you and wants to be with you forever in eternity in heaven!
