Does He know you?

 Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good,

A stronghold in the day of trouble;

And He knows those who trust in Him.

God is soooooo good to us! My how He has blessed us. Not only is He good to us but He is always with us in our troubled days. A person we can hold onto for strength. We need to remember that the Lord knows those who trust Him and have put their faith in Him as Lord and Savior!

Does He know you? Your eternity depends on it...Heaven or Hell?

Preparing the way.

 Matthew 3:3

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:

‘Prepare the way of the Lord;

Make His paths straight.’ ”

As John the Baptist prepared the way for the first coming of Jesus we are to be preparing the way for the lost for the return of the Lord. John prepared for the suffering servant Jesus who came to die to take our sins away. We are preparing folks not only to be saved but for Jesus return this time to Judge the world and set up His Kingdom! Once He comes this time it will be too late to receive Him as Lord and Savior! Time is urgent to prepare the way by sharing the gospel for folks to be saved! So let's get after it!

Where do you want to walk?

 John 8:12

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Jesus makes it clear that we have a choice. To walk in darkness which means walking in the world of sin or walk in the light which means walking in the world of Jesus living a godly, holy life, forgiven of our sins by His shed blood.

Choose the light...eternal light with God forever! Praise the Lord!

Where is your heart?

 Matthew 6:19-21

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

God only gives us two choices here of where our heart can be...with out treasure on earth or with our treasure in heaven. Our treasure in Heaven is Jesus and He desires us to serve Him on this earth until He returns by loving others and sharing the gospel. Our treasure on the earth is a multitude of things that can take priority over our faith in God. We have a choice to make!

Where is your heart focused???

Required reading!

 Deuteronomy 17:18-19

18 “Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. 19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,

For the Kings of Israel the Word of God was required reading according to God! Wouldn't it be great for our leaders as well to read the bible and lead our nation according to God's Word?? This can also apply to the Home. Dads and moms read the Word and run your household according to the Word of God!

It will be a blessing not a burden to obey the Lord!

Increase our faith!

 Luke 17:5

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

Do we ever get to the faith level we should on this side of heaven? Does a doubt ever creep in? It must have for the disciples so they asked the Lord to increase their faith! God has give us jobs to do as followers of Him are we doing them? Lord increase our faith!!!

If the disciples asked for an increase in faith then we may to as well! Chew on that today.

Strength

 Psalm 75:10

“All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off,

But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”

Horns in the bible are a symbol of strength. So God is telling us here one day He will cut off all the strength of the wicked and the strength of the righteous will be exalted. I picture this day as when Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom on this earth! Oh how we await His return!!! Come Jesus come!

Thank God for the little things!

 Psalm 3:5

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.

I hope you got a good nights sleep! It is Monday again and God has allowed you another day. You woke up for God has seen you through the night. Praise God for the simple things He does for us!

God sustains His children all the time, even in death He has a plan for you for eternity! Praise the Lord!!!!

Momentary

 2 Corinthians 4:17

17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

As followers of Jesus we must remember this world is  not our home. We are just passing through this earthly life headed for our destination which is eternal life in heaven with God forever. So when hard times are upon us remember is will be just for a moment compared to eternity in the glorious heaven with our God! Keep pressing on for Jesus!

Safe and secure!

“Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!” Psalm 61:4

When you have placed your faith in Jesus you can claim this verse! Safe and secure with God! That gives me so much comfort knowing God has got me for eternity! What else do I really need? I have a God who loves me and has provided for my every need for eternity!!! What an awesome God we serve! Praise the Lord!!!

Safe and secure in the Lord! Oh what a feeling!

Wise

 1 Timothy 1:17

17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

When you need some advice who do you go to? I believe we would try to find someone who is wise to get the advice from. I have awesome news! We can go to the one who is most wise of all...God! He will guide our lives and has given us a guide book for our lives! What an awesome God we have!

Let us give honor and glory to the God who loves us and gives us the advice we need!

Think like John!

 John 3:30

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

John the Baptist knew when Jesus came on the scene it was time for Him to take a back seat to Jesus. It is the same for us. When we put our faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior we then are to adjust our lives to put Him first in everything and to make sure our desires are His desires for us! Jesus ways increase our ways decrease!

Think like John and increase Jesus in your life!!!

Be correctable!

 Proverbs 10:17

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life,

But he who refuses correction goes astray.

God has given us a guidebook for life...the bible. Let us use His instructions to guide our life. God also puts folks in our lives who are godly and will give us advice from time to time to correct us. May we listen to their advice and stay on the path God has for us!

His workmanship!

 Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

You are God's workmanship! Think about that. Made in His image. He created you for good works and to be in Jesus. Which means all are supposed to put their faith in Him but He gives us a choice. It has been God's plan all along!

Let us fulfill God's plan in our lives as His workmanship!!!

New mercies!

 Lamentations 3:22-23

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

We must be thankful that God in His great love for us gives us new mercies everyday as we need them when we fall short of what He desires from each of us. Also because of His mercies His wrath does not consume us because of he shed blood of His Son covering our sins!

OH how good is God to us!!! Praise Him for His mercies!

Do often!

 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are forgiven but we still sin. When we sin it hurts our relationship with God thus we need to confess that sin so we can be cleansed before God! Do this often...confess your sin to God! He tells us to do so!

How will you see today?

 Psalm 119:105

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

We have a choice today. We can walk in the darkness of this world and stumble all around throughout the day. Or we can read and know God's Word so it will illuminate out path so we can be obedient to God and glorify Him and thus be blessed by Him as well!

So how will you see today? Clearly or in the dark?
