A thought from yesterdays sermon continues to stick with me from God's Word:

Ukraine

 Isaiah 41:10

fear not, for I am with you,

be not dismayed, for I am your God;

I will strengthen you, I will help you,

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Today Lord we pray for Ukraine. Watch over them and help them Lord. Please keep loss of life from happening and may many come to Christ through this terrible invasion.

This invasion will affect us as well as supply chains will be interrupted even more and gas prices may soar but we trust in you Lord and will praise your name no matter what!

Pray brothers and sisters...pray!

All is God's!

As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me.” Psalm 40:17

When we think about life we must understand that all is God's! He just lets us use things. So we are poor and needy in all areas! Thank the Lord though God loves us and thinks about us! He also has provided for those He created in His image! Thank the Lord often for His great love and provisions He has given us! Don't forget He has also provided Salvation by giving His Son to die for our sins!!! Oh are we needy but He has provided!!!!

Thank you Lord for all you do for a sinner such as I!

Do it today!

 Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow,

For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Do what God has planned for you today. Pray and read the Word of God to know His will and then do it. Tell those you love that you love them for we do not know when God will call us home.

Jesus may come at any moment be prepared!

What is your greatest reward?

What is the greatest reward you have ever received?

 Genesis 15:1

15 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

When God made a covenant with Abraham He revealed to Him that He was His great reward! Well guess what? In our lives the greatest reward we can have is Jesus Christ! He won the victory for us upon the cross by shedding His blood for our sins! When we put our faith alone in Him as Savior we have the greatest reward ever....Him! Praise the Lord!

Share your greatest reward with others for their eternity is on the line!

Are you ready???

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’” (1 Corinthians 2:9)

What God has prepared for His children in heaven is beyond anything our minds can even comprehend! He has told us this earth is not our home and think how beautiful many of the places are here on this sin scarred earth! Now think on what Heaven must be like! Perfection in every corner!! Oh what an amazing place heaven will be but most of all to be with God and loved by Him for eternity!!! Praise the Lord!

Remember though only one way to get to heaven! Allowing Jesus to be Lord and Savior of your life. Are you prepared if Jesus comes today???

Know who deserves thanks!

 Psalm 107:8

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Have you given thanks to the Lord recently for His goodness and good works that He does for you daily? Sometimes we get where we take these things for granted. Things such as breath in our lungs, food, shelter, clothing, ect.

Many in this world do not thank God for anything, Lord have mercy on them and we pray that they would come to the Lord for salvation!

Take time everyday to thank God for his love that he shows us each day!

God watches over HIs own!

 Psalm 35:27

May those who delight in my vindication

shout for joy and gladness;

may they always say, “The Lord be exalted,

who delights in the well-being of his servant.”

The Lord has told us in HIs Word that we are not to take vengeance on others because vengeance is His. It goes right along with this verse. God will vindicate His servants. He cares about those who love Him and serve Him. We win in the end as children of God! That should be great comfort to us and it should make us exalt our great God for caring so much for us!!!

Live for the Lord!

Walk in Him!

 Colossians 2:6

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

A good verse to start your week off. If you are a follower of Jesus you are to walk in Him. Be in imitator of Him. Others should see Jesus flowing out of you! When we surrender our lives to Jesus it means we are His completely! So much so we are walking in step with Him!

Is it that obvious you are a follower of Jesus? It should be!!!

Preach the Word!

 2 Timothy 4:2

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

Contrary to what many folks think we are to share with folks what the bible says! Preach! We are always to be ready to do so. Here is what we are to do:

1. Convince---show them the Word of God is truth!

2. Rebuke---let them know what is sin!

3. Exhort---help them move forward with encouragement!

4. Longsuffering--- be patient with them!

5. Teaching---help them learn what God says in His Word!

So are we preaching? It is not just the preacher's job to do so it is any follower of Jesus!

Use caution!

Seen this today and couldn't agree more! Watch how you use God's name!!!

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” Exodus 20:7 “In vain” = “Lightly, rashly, irreverently, unnecessarily, or without weighty or sufficient cause” (Poole). The issue is not mainly desecration, but diminishment. Not filth, but flippancy. E.g., OMG.

God is God and we need to be very carful in how we use His name and what we say about Him. May we praise Him and glorify Him in everything we say and do!

Will be exalted!

 Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

As followers of Jesus we exalt our God! He is King! His everything to us! BUT their are many who do not exalt God or even recognize there is a God. One day though God will let everyone know God is real and God is over all!!! All will exalt God when Jesus returns as every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord!!!!

So be still and exalt your Lord and let Him know thatr you know He is God!!!!

Hard to do!

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:43–44

As followers of Jesus we are to be different than the world. We are to be like Jesus. Jesus loved all even His enemies. He calls us to do the same. When we do this there is a chance we will win them to Jesus as they see Jesus flow from us. This is one of the hardest things the Lord calls us to do but with the power of the Holy Spirit we can do it!

The whom here is God the Father and Jesus. We are told that all the need to know treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in them. So how to we get this wisdom and knowledge? ONLY by having a personal relationship with Jesus and thus He will reveal that wisdom and knowledge to us through the Holy Spirit. We are kingdom illiterate until we put our faith and trust in Jesus!

So have you put your trust in Jesus? Know the hidden things of God and His Word and follow Jesus today!

Anxiety

 Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety weighs down the heart,

but a kind word cheers it up.

Anxiety seems to be affecting everyone's lives these days. From covid, to health problems, to money issues, to job problems, to loss of loved ones, and the list goes on and on! So what as followers of Jesus can we do? Help others by talking with them and loving them. Let others know you are there for them. Pray with them. Share God's word with them.

A kind word lets others know you care so let' get after it church!

Listen!

 Proverbs 21:13

Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor

Will also cry himself and not be heard.

Let us always remember all we have is a blessing from God. He expects us to help those in need. Let us ask ourselves "am I"?? For God tells us if we do not help others he will not help us!

Listen for the cry for help and then help!

Obvious!

 Proverbs 16:20

He who heeds the word wisely will find good,And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.

If you listen to the Word of God you will be blessed! If you trust in the Lord you will be happy!!! Pretty obvious stuff huh?

Why do so many choose not too???
