Nothing has changed....speak!

Just as in the days of the early church, things have not changed!

18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

The early church was under attack at all times to not talk about Jesus. Al though not to the same degree many still will do what they can to keep us from talking about Jesus even here in the USA. They sure don't want us teaching God's very word for it contradicts the teachings of the world. The sins they enjoy! In many places around the world you can be arrested or even killed on the spot for speaking the name of Jesus. No matter the cost we must stand for our Lord and He will do the judging when the time is right.

Speak and teach Jesus for the TRUTH and the Savior must be shared!!!

Do your best to stop them!

Without Jesus as Lord and Savior this i where folks are headed:

Proverbs 24:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

As followers of Jesus we are to do all we can to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others so they have the opportunity to avoid hell. Without Jesus they will go to hell!!! So we must do our best to tell them that the shed blood of Jesus can cover their sins if they put their faith in Jesus. Keep this verse in your mind as it may help us realize the urgency to spread the gospel. So many headed to the slaughter and death but they don't have too....Jesus saves!

He is worthy!

He is worthy!!!

Psalm 117

   1Praise the Lord, all nations!
    Extol him, all peoples!
2 For great is his steadfast love toward us,
    and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord!

The Lord alone is worthy of all our praise and honor. He loves us beyond measure. We must remember one day for those who refuse to give the Lord the honor due Him they will but it will be too late to be saved then as they will be getting ready to receive judgement at the return of Jesus! So do it willingly and do it now!

Romans 14:11 

11 for it is written,

“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
    and every tongue shall confess to God.”

I love you Lord and I will always give you the praise!

The works of God!

I am amazed at the works of God and what He has created for those who are created in His image...us!

Psalm 111:2 

2 Great are the works of the Lord;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.

God loves you. He created you and everything else! Do you take time to think about this? Do you take time to praise God for His creation? Why did God create all this? So He could have a relationship with you! Think on that! God wants a relationship with you and me....so much that He even let His own Son Jesus die on the cross for our sins so He could restore a broken relationship because of our sin! WOW! 

The works of God are awesome but when you realize they are all done for you because God loves you and wants you to know Him and have a relationship with you it takes it to a whole new level!

Thank you God for your mighty works! We are unworthy of YOU but are grateful that you love us and want to know us! We praise You this day and everyday!

Need some peace?

Need some peace? This is where you need to go!

Isaiah 26:3 

3 You keep him in perfect peace
    whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.

When we have our mind focused on God and have put our faith and trust In Jesus, then and only then can we have the perfect peace that only God can provide! This is the way God made us. He is the great Provider of everything we need including peace. When you know God is the One in control and that He loves you, that is what our minds need to have that peace!!!

Know God, Know peace!

No God, No peace!

Fear the Lord?

Read these verses:

Proverbs 14:26-27 

26 In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence,
And His children will have a place of refuge.
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
To turn one away from the snares of death.

Fear of the Lord is knowing God and holding Him in the right place....above all and in control of all. So when you read these verses you see those who fear God are confident because we know we are in the hands of God and we have trusted His Son Jesus as Lord and Savior. We have our refuge in Him. God gives us life for He is the fountain from which life flows. When you trust in the living waters (Jesus) we turn away from sins that leads to death and hell. For Jesus Himself is the One who defeated sin and death and given to us everlasting life!!! Oh what love God has for us!

Do you fear the Lord? Better get right with God for time is ticking!

A friend of mine shared this and it is worth a listen....many times!

Know and believe!

God gave us His Word for many reasons....here are a couple:

1 John 5:13 

13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

1. Believe in the Son of God-Jesus      We have the Word of God which points to Jesus. The name above all names. King! Savior! Do you believe?

2. Know that you have eternal life. Only one way to know that you have eternal life....put your faith and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. I know I have eternal life by the promises of God's Word and knowing I have trusted Jesus as my Savior and Lord.....do you?

Read God's Word. Know and believe it for it is absolute truth!

Give yourself for others!

I need to be reminded often about the things Jesus did as He set the example for us and how to live our lives. This verse reminds us what our lives as followers of Jesus should be about:

Matthew 20:28 New King James Version (NKJV)

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

We are to give our lives to serving others....even to the point of death! Whew! Think on that!!! Let us all ask our selves: "How am I doing in the area of serving others?" We are called by our Lord to do so....so let's get at it!!! In our serving others, they will see Jesus in us and if they don't know Him as Savior we will get the chance to tell them!!!

Evaluation time!!!

God tells us if you do this you are wise.....read and evaluate yourself:

Proverbs 11:30 

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who wins souls is wise.

If one wins souls for the Lord they are wise!!! Fruit for the Lord leads to eternal life! Winning souls means telling folks about Jesus and leading their soul to Jesus for salvation. All followers of Jesus should share the gospel helping others come to Jesus. Jesus told us to do so:

Matthew 28:18-20 

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

So let me ask....are you wise???

Get clean!

Oh may we follow the example of the Corinthians:

2 Corinthians 7:1 

1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Like the Corinthians we have the promises of God's Word. We need to daily cleanse ourselves from anything that may dirty us up before God both in our flesh and in our spirit! Confess our sin and repent before the almighty God! This keeps pour relationship good with the Lord and we don't allow a wall to build up between us! We work everyday on being holy before the Lord for He is holy and we must remember who God is!!!!! Thus respecting Him will a fear that is of respect fo God!

Let's be sure we are as clean as can be before our King and Lord for He desires us to be so!

Jesus Wins!

Return!

Our nation was formed on a biblical foundation. It is safe to say as a whole we are not following God's Word as a nation. What should we do?

Zechariah 1:3 

3 Therefore say to them,  “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” 

We must return to God and He will return to us! God loves us but He will take away blessings and chastise a nation that refuses to follow His Word. We are here right now! We need revival! We need a turning back to Him. It all starts with you and I making sure our hearts are right with God first and then we pray for others and do what we can to bring others to a right relationship with God! 

Lord we pray for repentance, revival, and a mass turning back to you. We love you and praise you. You alone are God and worthy of our worship. Help this nation turn back to you!

What is the apple of your eye?

What is the apple of your eye? Usually it is a person whom you love dearly. Look what God says to be the apple of your eye:

Proverbs 7:1-2 

 My son, keep my words,
And treasure my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and live,
And my law as the apple of your eye.

God's Word is supposed to be the apple of our eye! Do we hold God's Word in great value? Look at what He tells us here:

1. Keep God's Word-obey it

2. Treasure God's Word-it is the key to life!

3. Obey God's Word and truly live!

4. Hold God's Word as most important!

I think it is safe to say we better read, learn, and obey God's Word as He has informed us of it's importance!

Get after Him!!!

Read this verse carefully:

Hebrews 11:6 

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

1. You must have faith to please God.

2. If you come to God you must believe that He is God!

3. God rewards those who diligently seek Him!

Really think these points through. Do you really have faith...by the way you live your life it will show. Do you truly believe in the One and Only God? Are you currently seeking God?

God is looking for followers with faith, believe He is, and seeks Him all of their life! Let you and I be those followers! Giving God all that we have! He rewards those who do these things! All the reward we need He has already given us....Jesus!!!! Amen?

Are you praying?

Samuel Chadwick said: "The one concern of the devil is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil. mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray."

So are you praying. It is probably safe to say most of us pray our 30 second prayer everyday thanking God for blessings and asking Him for something. But I am talking about deep prayer. Spending time with God, seeking His face. Praying for His Kingdom to come, souls to be saved, and revival to come. As a whole the this kind of praying is missing and so is the power of God in our lives. Prayers and the moving of God are linked in scripture and it still works like that today! 

Jeremiah 33:3

3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

We must get back to prayer, only then will we see God move in a mighty way!
