Use what God gave you!

For the followers of Jesus, we have a gift God has given us to be used for His glory. There are many but a few are teaching, giving, serving, administration, compassion, ect. Are you using your gift as told to do so by the Word of God?

1 Peter 4:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
May we all be good stewards of what God has given us and use our gifts!!!!

Are you?

A command from Jesus:

John 13:34

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Are you loving others? It is not an option. Notice who our example is.....Jesus. We are to love others as Has loved us. If everyone followed this one command the world would be a different place. Let us as faithful followers do as our Lord has said....Love others!!!

Don't forget it!

Read theses verses:

Psalm 119:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts,
And contemplate Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.

A few things for us to grasp here:

1. Rejoice that God has given us His Word!
2. Meditate daily and think deeply on His Word.
3. Delight ourselves in What God has told us to do and not to do.
4. Don't forget what God tells us!

What a gift God has given us in His Word! Love it, read it, understand it, and do it!

Followers life.

If we were to take a verse as followers of Jesus and make it our life's verses this would be it:

Philippians 1:21

21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
As we live our lives are to be all about Jesus and what He has taught us in His Word. Every day, every hour, every second is about bringing Him glory.
Then when God decides our time on earth is done, we have great gain by being called home to heaven to spend eternity with Him! Praise the Lord!
Are you living out your life verse as a follower of Jesus???

Yes!!!!

Start your Monday off right and praise the Lord!

Psalm 48:1a

48a Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.

There is nothing, no one, zilch, zero, none that deserve to be praised but God! He is love. He is salvation. He is compassion. He is long-suffering. He is provider. He is creator. He is merciful. He is forgiver. He is all in all!

Praise God this day and everyday for He alone is worthy!!!

Honor God with HIS money!

We need to remember that everything we have is from God. Yes even our money. God has given us the ability to work and earn money. It is His money! So we need to listen closely to His Word on this:

Proverbs 3:9

Honor the Lord with your wealth
    and with the firstfruits of all your produce;

When God says honor here, He means two things. First, spend the money He has allowed you to earn wisely. Do not spend it on sin! Honor Him with your money! Second, the bible teaches us to tithe and give offerings. I believe the bible teaches at a minimum you should give 10% of what you make to a bible believing church that will use it to share the gospel and help meet the needs of the needy!

So are you honoring God with your wealth??? No better time to start that today if you have not been doing so!

Open our eyes Lord!

Let us pray to this verse:

Psalm 119:18

18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
    wondrous things out of your law.

Lord your Word is vital to our lives and we must read it and understand it and obey it to have the relationship you desire with us! Please open our eyes and help us to understand every word. Your Word is a beautiful reminder of how much you love us by giving us a guide book for life!

Open our eyes!!!!

God is wise not us!

Proverbs 3:7

Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

We are told in the Word of God, don't be wise in your own eyes! We are to trust and fear the Lord who is all wise!!!! Read His Word and learn all the wisdom you need to know and follow it! One of the main pieces of wisdom is to turn away from evil! Run from it! Again God's Word tells us what evil is!!!

God is so good and loving to us. He gives us all we need to be the best we can be for the Lord and bring Him glory. Let's do just that!

What love!

Read this very carefully:

Romans 5:8

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
A Holy, Righteous, Perfect God gave His Perfect Son to die for wretched sinners like you and I. Why? Because He loves us!!! No one loves you like God does!
Think on this today. God gave you His son to die for you, a guide book for life, an opportunity to live forever in heaven forever. What more can H do to prove His love for you??

Have much?

Look around you right now if you are at home, if not think for a moment about all the things God has blessed you with. We are a blessed and spoiled people, right? Now read theses words of Jesus:

Luke 14:33

33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
Our life is to be consumed with serving God. Sadly our life is consumed with things. Think about it. How much time do we spend on loving others, meeting needs, and sharing the gospel. Now how much time do you spend on your phone or watching TV.
Chew on what Jesus said....don't take it lightly for it is serious!

Treasures here or there?

Jesus is very clear in scripture about what we are to be doing as followers of Him. Think about these verses and then answer questions after them.

Luke 12:32-34

32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
1. Look around you right now....are you storing up useless things?
2. Jesus says sell you possessions...another words keep only what you need. Are you?
3. Jesus says give to the needy. What are you doing to help the needy....don't say you can't afford it!
Sadly we often look at scripture as suggestions but it is not. God's Word telling us what to do for the abundant life. Are you storing up treasures here or in heaven???

Less talk!

Proverbs 10:19

19 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise.

When I first read this the news channels came to mind. They talk talk talk! Many times they get things wrong. There are many people who do the same thing. Some just tell stories just so they can keep their lips moving!

God tells us here to be wise and talk with purpose. Know what you are talking about so that truth comes from your mouth. Sometimes even if you have the truth you still need to keep quiet! However the truth of the gospel needs to be told! That is something to talk about as much as you can!

So let us be intentional in our talk not just blabbing to be blabbing!

God is in control!

In this day and time, many will puts their trust in the government to protect them. For the follow of Jesus their is only One in whom we totally put our trust!!!

Psalm 20:7 New King James Version (NKJV)

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

God is where we must understand is in control. He will do as He pleases and we trust Him because He loves us. While our military is awesome it is God who has all the power in His hand!

Need answers?

I don't know about you but I need all the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding I can get and where else better to go than to God!!

Proverbs 2:6 New King James Version (NKJV)

For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

God gave us His Word, so we can get all we need from His Word plus He allows us to talk with Him through prayer in which He will respond as well! What more can we ask????

Seek God and He will give you the answers you need!
