Walk with Jesus!

 

Let us remember:

2 Corinthians 5:7 

7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

While we don't see our Savior face to face we have put our faith in Him and we know He lives!!! So let us keep out eyes on Him and not the circumstances around us. For He is with us and loves us and is awaiting our arrival in heaven to be with Him forever! Oh what a day that will be!!!

So much going on in our world and personal lives. Remember this verse:

 1 Thessalonians 5:17 

pray without ceasing,

Now more than ever we need God so let us talk to Him non-stop! He loves to hear from His people. Let us not just ask for things though let also praise and glorify His nam as well for He is worthy!!!

Pray, pray, pray!!!!

Says it all!

 This verse says it all:

Proverbs 1:7 

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

To know God is God and fear Him in awe and reverence is the beginning of knowledge. Then we read His word and learn more about Him and what He desires from us. We then live it out in our lives. A wise man does this. However a fool denies it and ignores it. What camp are you in? A fool or a wise man???

Dad encourage your kids!

 A good word from the Lord:

Ephesians 6:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Dads if we are not careful we can get in the habit of correcting our kids all the time and never encouraging them! When we stay on them all the time they tend to just give up thinking they can never please us. Let us make sure we are encouraging them and training them in what God's word says! When we do have to correct them explain why and let them know you still love them!!!!

Be intentional by encouraging and teaching them God's word!!!!

Remember to help!

 God makes it clear to those he has blessed with meeting their needs that we are to help others!

Proverbs 21:13 

13 Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor
Will also cry himself and not be heard.

When we see or hear others in need as followers of Jesus we are to help them! So let us be on the lookout to help others. It brings glory to God and we are called by God to do so! Let's set the example for others to help the needy!!!!

Don't miss the warning...if we don't help others when we are in need God will not listen to us!!!

8 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.

God is perfect. Man is not. God will always do whats right man will not. Put all your trust and hope in God for He will never let you down!!! God is good! Praise Him!!!

He Knows the way!

I don't know about you but I need help to find the right path in life! Guess what? I know someone who knows the way! Look here:

John 14:6 

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is the WAY!!! There is only one correct path in life and that is following Jesus! He not only leads you in the way to eternal life and the abundant life but He also shows you truth!! For He is truth!!!

So why go down any other path??? Follow Jesus and you will not be disappointed! He loves you and will not lead you astray!!!

He chose us!

 God chose us always remember that!

Ephesians 1:4 

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

God chose us in Jesus knowing Jesus would have to die to cover our sins! Wow think on that for a bit. So we in return should live holy lives and love Him and others as Jesus gave the example in His walk on this earth.

You are chosen and you are important to God. That should encourage you this morning! So glorify the Lord with your life this day and everyday!!!

Psalm 23:1

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

As The Lord being my Shepherd I have all I need for He has and will provide for my needs. He protects, feeds, clothes, and shelters me. This is how much my God loves me and He loves you too!

Thank the Lord For His Peace!

I am so thankful for the peace that Jesus gives to those who follow Him. I can not imagine life without the peace He provides each and every day!

John 14:27 

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 

If you are troubled or afraid come to Jesus! He will give you the peace you need. The world has nothing to offer but Jesus is truth, compassion, mercy, grace and love! Oh what Savior He is!

Let God's Word lead!

 

Think on this verse:

Joshua 1:8

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

God's Word should:

1. Not depart from your mouth

2. Make you think on it day and night

3. Observe all that is written in it

4. By obeying it it will make you prosperous in the things of God and have success in His Ways

God's Word is important get in it!!!

Real Christians 1) act compassionately toward those who need help; 2) act purely in their private lives.

Let us as followers of Jesus do as God has called us to do!!
