Only one way to truly be thankful by having Jesus As your Lord and Savior and recognizing God gave you His Son on the cross for a gift so you may obtain salvation. That was God's plan for you and I!
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Because of God's gift we can now know true peace in our hearts and be a part of His Church and be thankful always!!! I know I sure am thankful for salvation and the church. Are you?

Very simple teaching from the Word of God that is important for all to understand!
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
This is telling us a habitual sin means we do not have God for we are not dwelling in the Word of God. So if you are in habit of a sin you do not have God. You need to repent and come to Jesus.
What this is not saying is an occasional sin does not mean you do not have God. Confess it and move on. That is what 1John 1:9 tells us.
We know the difference so let us do what God calls us to do and get right with Him!

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Fo the follower of Jesus we have been blessed beyond measure with salvation! Then add in all the other blessings of God and these verses should flow from our mouths!!!
1. Rejoice-praise God!
2.Pray-communicate with God!
3.Give thanks-be grateful to God!
4. Obedience-doing the will of God!

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
One must hear the Word of God to come to faith in Jesus Christ. So the question is are you sharing the Word of God with others!!! Their eternity is at stake! Let's get about the Father's business as tell the good news of Jesus Christ!

13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
1. Are you suffering in some way today? Pray! Give it to God!
2. Are you cheerful today because all is good? Sing psalms! Praise God and give Him the worship He deserves. Let others know about your God!!!

26 God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”
God has blessed us we just have to accept it! He gave us His Son Jesus to die for our sins! Thus we can have eternal life in heaven with Him for eternity! What bigger blessing is there than that? There isn't one! Have you put you faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior??? Be blessed and do it today!!!

2 My help comes from the Lord,

My help comes from the Lord! The One who gave His life for me and made me in His image! Why would I turn anywhere else???

Craziness is a good way to describe what is going on in our society today. With the election, riots, looting, and all the other ugliness going on we question what to do. We as followers of Jesus lust remember this verse:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
God is in control! Trust Him. Obey His Word. Put all tour worries in His hands and forget about them and live a faithful life! We are on our way to heaven and have nothing to worry about! Remember that!

2a My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.
God gave His Word to be written down for us to learn. One of His main points is for us to be holy. We are holy by not sinning. We are blessed God revealed what sin is to us in the Word. Let us be obedient children and strive not to sin each day. Thankfully God provided forgiveness for when we do through the shed blood of Jesus! BUT we are to strive to be sinless!

Unlike everything else in this world there is one constant....Jesus! He is who He says He is and will never change!
A few things He says He is....love, truth, the way, Lord, Savior, and God.
Let's stay faithful to Him and praise Him all the day long!!!

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Now ask yourself as a follower of Jesus am I obeying this command? Am I sharing the gospel and making disciples? That is the question. Jesus is not suggesting this it is a command!
Let's do our part and get bust after all eternity in either heaven or hell is at stake!

A couple of verses to think on today:
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
1. Jesus delivers from darkness.
2. Jesus brings us into the kingdom.
3. Jesus is love.
4. Jesus gives us redemption through His blood.
5. Jesus provides forgiveness of sin.
Think on that and give Jesus some praise today!

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
God will instruct us if we are willing follow and listen to His teaching. Then we must go down the path He leads us down. It will always be the path that brings Him glory!!! I want Him to guide me don't you? All He requires from us is to give our lives to Jesus and serve Him as Lord and Savior!
Listen to the instructions of God for it is abundant life!!!
