Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Resurrection Sunday
The stone was rolled away. He is Risen! (Matthew 28)
My Savior is alive and coming back soon!

Saturday
The world grew quiet. Jesus laid in the tomb as it was guarded and sealed with a stone. (Matthew 27:62-
66)
Think…..He is in the grave because of my sin. Thank you Lord for taking my place.

Good Friday
Jesus carried His cross, was crucified and placed in a tomb. (Matthew 27)
All for you. Read chapter and just let it sink in….all for you!
Tom
Maundy Thursday
The last supper with the disciples giving new meaning to Passover celebration. Jesus is taken by Roman soldiers. (Matthew 26:17-29)
Maundy means “washing of the feet”. Jesus was forever setting the example of putting others first by serving them even on the day before his death! Think on that today! Are we serving others to show them the love of God?

Wednesday
Judas betrays Jesus for 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:1-16
For the price of a slave Judas turns his back on the Lord. Sadly many do it for much less.
Tom
Tuesday
Jesus' authority was questioned by chief priests. He taught at the temple. (Matthew 21:18-25)
This is what took place on Tuesday of Holy Week. They were always trying to trap Jesus but Jesus was always a step ahead of them in their questions!
Tom
Holy Week started yesterday. Going to give us a walk through it. Take time to read think about the most important week in our faith! Praise Jesus our Lord for what He did for us!
Sunday-palm Sunday
Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Crowds welcomed Him with "Hosana!" as they laid palm branches at His feet. (Matthew 21:1-9)

”In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.“
I John 4:9
We can chose to live out our lives in many different ways. God designed us for one way though as we see in this verse … through Him!!! Meaning through Jesus our Lord and Savior. All our life should be run through the eyes of our Lord! Think on that today!
Tom
”Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,“
I Peter 2:11
Peter is reminding us here as we walk through this world before we go home to heaven we are in a war! We are to stay away from our temptations and lusts which war against us. Satan knows he has lost the war but loves to win a few battles. Don’t let him do it! Put that spiritual armor on and use your sword, the word of God, and fight!!!
You can do it!
Tom
”He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.“
Psalms 40:3
When we trust Jesus it is easy to praise Him. It is in times of where we may have a season of where we are not trusting like we should it may become hard to praise Him. We should always trust Him but there are times when we may want our way instead of Him and that usually equals lack of trust! So may we always trust our Lord and the songs of praise flow from us and others will notice and they also will trust in the Lord!
Tom
”See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.“
I Thessalonians 5:15
For most of us one of the hardest teachings of the Bible is not to seek revenge! Matter of fact the Bible says to even offer the other check to be slapped!!! Oh my! Jesus asks us nothing that He hasn’t already done himself remember that. We show others the love of God by showing the same mercy and grace He gives us!

In my daily devotional Dr. William Rice shared this:
”For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.“
Psalms 84:10
“We live in a world that paints a picture of wickedness that makes it look like a huge party full of beautiful, smiling people without a care in the world. But we know better. We know there is an awfully high price to pay for ignoring God and following the paths culture deems to be right.”
“There is a path though that leads to blessing and joy. It is the path that leads right into God’s presence. God is the ultimate source of real joy. The wise know the smallest role in God’s kingdom will one day trump the grandest position without Him.”
These are some wise words from Dr. Rice. May we chew on them today and be wise in our decisions!
Tom
”For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?“
I John 5:4-5
We have a lot to overcome in life. The list is long. God tells us how to have the victory. Our faith! This faith must be directed in one direction and that is Jesus. For He is the one who won the victory on the cross for us. This is our victory.. Jesus!!!! Praise the Lord!
Tom
”Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.“
Hebrews 12:28-29
This earth we live on can be shaken by earthquakes much like the lives we live as troubles come our way in many different forms. Temptations to sin, money issues, job issues, family issues, and a whole bunch of other issues. Thankfully we have a choice by the grace of God…live for this shaken world or live for His Kingdom which can not be shaken!!! I chose His Kingdom and will serve my God with the reverence and godly fear He deserves! Remember one day our God will consume this world with fire and create a new heaven and new earth proving His Kingdom alone shall stand!
Tom
”For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“
Romans 8:38-39
Nothing can separate you from the love of God. That is a good way to start this Monday off knowing that no matter what comes your way….God loves you!!!
Tom
”Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.“
Ezekiel 11:19-20
As God told Israel here, we too need to get rid of a stony heart and get a new heart by being born again. A new creation we become when we surrender our old lives and start our new lives following Jesus. Then our new hearts are soft and yield to the Word of God! Bro g obedient to Him!
Have you got rid of the stony heart? Why not today? Call out to Jesus!
Tom
”Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.“
Psalms 100:4
God is so good! Here we are reminded to be thankful to Him. Praise Him. Bless His name. He is worthy of all this and so much more. Think about today how much time do you spend praising, blessing, and be thankful to the One who has provided everything for you!
Tom
”but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”“
I Peter 1:15-16
If God called you to salvation and you accepted then you are to be like Him…holy! We don’t get to pick and choose which areas in our lives we want to be holy He wants all areas of our lives to be holy like Himself!
We have a high calling…strive to be holy like Jesus!
Tom
”For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?“
I John 5:4-5
To overcome this sin filled world we must be born of God! It is the ONLY way. To be born of God is to put your faith in Jesus the Savior of the world who took your sins to the cross and died but overcome sin and death by resurrecting on that third day! Praise the Lord!!!
So the question is…Have you overcome the world?
