Gifts From God!

As we move closer to the day we celebrate Christmas let us remember all the blessings of life (gifts) come from God!

John 3:27 

27 John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

With the Greatest Gift Of All being Jesus.

Romans 6:23 

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let us never forget this and remind all during our gatherings this Christmas season.

Thank you Lord for all the gifts you shower down upon us each day and thank you for Jesus the One who provided salvation for all!

Stay humble folks!

For the follower of Jesus we must remember to strive to be like Jesus. One of His characteristics was humbleness! God makes it very clear in His Word He does not like pride!!! So let us be a humble people for He warns us if we decide to be prideful:

Proverbs 16:18 

18 Pride goes before destruction,

And a haughty spirit before a fall.

When pride creeps in we can know God will bring us back to reality! He will chastise his children! So let us live like the Lord desires from His children and be blessed!

God is the Sustainer!

A reminder God is in control of everything including you!

Psalm 3:5 

5 I lay down and slept;

I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.

Every breath we take is all by the love and mercy of God, We deserve nothing so all we have and all we receive is a blessing from the Lord. 

Think about this every morning you wake up…God is giving you another day. Are you using it to glorify Him?

Are you separate?

God makes it clear…if we are followers of Him we are not to be like the world…we are to be clearly a separated, holy people.

2 Corinthians 6:17a

17a  Therefore “Come out from among them

And be separate, says the Lord.

So what is God seeing from us? Someone who is just like the lost world, doing all the same things? Living the life of the unsaved? Or does He see someone who knows His Word and strives to live a holy life, separating himself from worldly desires? Striving to be like Jesus!

Let us be a separated people, not a hermit, but in the world serving the Lord, but not of the world!!!

What ya gonna brag on today?

So what are you gonna brag on today? Your kids? Your job? Your self? Your dog? For the follower of Jesus there is only ONE that is worthy to brag on!!!!

Psalm 34:2 

2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;

The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

Psalm 44:8 

8 In God we boast all day long,

And praise Your name forever. Selah

The Lord deserves to be praised by His children. Shout it from the rooftops!!!! God is awesome!!! We love Him! Brag on the Lord!

1. Only God is truly Holy!!!!!
2. There is only ONE God.
3. God is unmovable and powerful and there is nothing like Him!

This verse is a great reminder about God. Let us make sure we are following and worshipping and He deserves!
