What will last after you are gone?

 Psalm 71:18

So even to old age and gray hair,

O God, do not forsake me,

until I proclaim your might to another generation,

your power to all those to come.

What legacy will you leave behind? The greatest thing to leave behind is those you have led to Jesus and given the Word of God to so that they have the chance to come to Jesus. How much of God will you leave to others by your example and the words that come from your mouth?

This one life will soon be past,

Only what's done for Christ will last.

What has thou given for me?

As I was doing some studying yesterday I came across this and it spoke to me so I wanted to pass it along.

When only a young lady, Frances Ridley Harvergal saw a picture of the crucified Christ with the caption under it: "I did this for thee, What has thou done for Me?" Quickly she wrote a poem, but she was dissatisfied with it and threw it into the fireplace. The paper came out unharmed! Later, at her father's suggestion, she published the poem, and today we sing it.

I gave My life for thee,

My precious blood I shed;

That thou might ransomed be,

And quickened from the dead.

I gave, I gave, my life for thee,

What has thou given for Me?

A good question! Think about it today.

New self

 Ephesians 4:24

24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

When you put your faith in Jesus and repent of your sins you are to put on your new self. That means your old ways of the world are now being set behind you and you walk in your new life of following Jesus. In this verse it also tells us that our new self is created in the likeness of God....true righteousness and holiness. So we can look to Jesus and follow His example in the scriptures of how our new self is to conduct itself!

So take a moment and ask is your new self acting like Jesus? It should be....all the time!!!!

Need this reminder

Every once in awhile in this crazy sin filled world we live in we need to be reminded of this:

Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

1. In this world we will have problems!

2. In Jesus we have peace!

3. Jesus has overcome the world and one day will gather those who follow Him to our peaceful home which is heaven!

Praise the Lord for the peace only found in Jesus!

Praying for you!

I seen this and wanted to share it with you as I thought it was so good! I did not come up with this just passing it along. Jesus cares about you and prays for you as a follower of Him!

There is nothing sweeter to the Christian than knowing Jesus is interceding for us. 1. He prays for our protection (Jn 17:15). 2. He prays for our unity (Jn 17:20–23). 3. He prays for grace in time of need (Heb 4:16). 4. He prays for our recovery from sin (1 Jn 2:1).

Thankful for my Savior who prays for me!
