Acknowledge your sin

 “I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭5‬ ‭

After we have been forgiven for our sins by putting our faith in Christ, we still need to confess our sins up as David did. God has already forgiven us but desires us to acknowledge when we fall short. It gives us a peace only He gives as we are obedient and truthful before our Lord.

Here is another verse on the matter:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭

Who are you?

 “And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?””

‭‭Acts‬ ‭19‬:‭15‬ ‭

In the verse above some guys were trying to use the power of Jesus to remove demons. The demons basically laughed at them and ended up beating them up for the did not have the power of God to remove them. Demons know those who are of God and who are not!

So if they ask you…who are you …can you say a true follower of Jesus which means you have the power of God by the Holy Spirit?

Only what is helpful

 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭

Imagine a world where the only things that come out of our mouths builds people up and does not tear them down. Even those who just hear us benefit by what we say because it is helpful! 

Are we doing this as followers of Jesus?

A truth to remember…God’s Word WILL accomplish exactly the purpose for which He sent it.

What do you have a sweet taste for? God’s Word or something of the world. The amount of time you spend in God’s Word reveals much about your love and desire for Him.

Mind is stayed

 “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬ ‭

On this Labor Day 2025, think about where your mind spends most of its time. If not focused right it will rob you of peace and joy. God tells us here in the verse above to keep your mind stayed on Him. Our focus is to be in Him and that is what brings us peace and joy no matter the circumstances!!!
