What a Savior
Continuing on with songs that speak to my heart. This song my wife sang at church yesterday and now I can't get it out of my head. It's an awesome song so I am glad it is stuck in my head! A great son to start of the week. It is called "What a Savior" . Laura Story is the singer. Listen closely to the Lyrics!
Oh wow that just makes me want to shout! Thank you Jesus for all you have done for me. What a Savior you are! My favorite part of the song is these words:
"You are the way, the truth, and the life
You are my joy and salvation
Stood in my place, taking my shame,
Upon your shoulders
Jesus you are stronger
More than any other
Hallelujah what a Savior
Jesus you are higher
My souls deepest desire
Hallelujah what a Savior"
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Habakkuk 3:18
yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
I love songs that use scripture in them. So this morning are you praising Jesus for all He has done for you? It really doesn't matter where we find ourselves this morning...good day, bad day, or just an ok day.....Jesus has given us everything we could ask for and more. Died for us, protects us, guides us, preparing heaven for us...Hallelujah what a Savior!!!!!!
Join me in giving God the glory today and everyday!

How He Loves Us
Day four of songs that speak to my heart bring me to this song. "How He Loves Us" by David Crowder Band. Just sit back and listen to this song and take it all in!!!!!
A great way to end the week. A reminder of how much God loves us. Don't ever for get God loves you and wants to spend eternity with you. God has paved the way through His Son Jesus. It is your choice!
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 5:5
and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:8
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:39
nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Ephesians 2:4
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
Ephesians 3:19
and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
The love of God...doesn't get any better than that!

All this time.
Song 3 of songs that have spoken to my heart.
My parents divorced when I was two years old. I have dealt with a separated family all my life. Yesterday I had the opportunity to share this song I have picked for today to a young lady who is in college and her mom and dad are going through a divorce. Needless to say it has rocked her world. She sent me a note back telling me this was exactly what she needed to hear. Britt Nicole wrote this song as she recalled her feelings when her parents divorced when she was seven years old....I believe it speaks to all troubling situations not just divorce.
God tell us in His Word that when we have put our faith and trust in Jesus he never leaves us! What a comfort that is!
Psalm 9:10
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Psalm 10:17
O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
Thank you Jesus for being with me all this time. I am unworthy but oh so thankful.

Where I belong.
Yesterday I spent the day in Franklin, Tennessee with my wife and 8 year old daughter. My daughter was getting tested for allergies. We found out she is allergic to all grass, weed, and tree pollen. She also had a sinus infection we were not aware of. She will be on medication for the quit some time in the future as well as getting a shot once a week. that made me think about song number two on my list that touches my heart. It is called "Where I belong" by Building 429:
The Bible is clear that we are just passing through this world. A short journey until we arrive where we belong...in heaven. No more shots, allergies, sickness, pain, or death once we get there.
Romans 12:1-3
Living Sacrifices to God
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
James 4:14
whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
John 14:2
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Philippians 3:20
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Timothy 4:18
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
Hebrews 11:16
But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
1 Peter 1:3-4
A Heavenly Inheritance
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
Revelation 21:4
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
I don't know about you but I am ready for Jesus to come and take me to where I belong....with Him in heaven! Remember there is only one way to get there, to put your faith and trust in Jesus!
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

One Touch
I thought it may be kinda fun and thought provoking to share some of the songs I hear from time to time that really speak to my heart. This morning the song is "One Touch" from Nicole C. Mullen. If you have not heard her music hold on you are in for a treat. Trust me don't skip over this listen to it!
Luke 8:43-48
43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”
When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” 47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
The touch of Jesus. Wow! Have you felt His touch? All you have to do is believe as you see in these verses Jesus says "your faith has made you well". Jesus healed her both physically and spiritually. We don't have the promise of being healed physically in scriptures although Jesus does choose to heal some. We all do have a promise of Spiritually healing if we put our faith and trust in Him. Which one day will lead to physical healing also in heaven. Just reach out this morning and touch Jesus!
If you have a song I can add here please let me know....I would love to hear it!

Courage
I heard a very true statement yesterday. "It is so easy to have the courage to sin but it is so hard to have the courage to be obedient to God." Wow think about that for a moment....it is so very true.
Joshua 1:7
7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
Psalm 27:14
14 Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 31:24
24 Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.
Courage: the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.
So this morning we all must ask ourselves...do I have the courage to stand for Jesus? He died for you!

God is in control
Yesterday I went to Vanderbilt to visit a young man who had become very sick. He had no energy, could not eat and his blood count was very low. After running tests they found out he has leukemia. His name is Justin Fletcher. Please keep him in your prayers. He is 14 years old. The doctors believe they have found it early enough that it will be treatable. I was doing some thinking yesterday about this situation and many more that I know about. Many times we want to get mad at God for things like this. I know I do. In reality though it is not God's fault it is ours. Sinful man. This world of ours was perfect at one time....the way God designed it. Mankind sinned and forever changed this world. Because of our sin death, sickness, corruption, lies, and all others sins have corrupted this world. Don't blame God, look in the mirror.
I do have good news though. God still loves us even in our sins. He has provided redemption for all through His Son Jesus. Jesus died on that cross to pay for our sins....to take our place for what we have done. All we have to do is call upon the name of Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. Have you done that? It is THE ONLY HOPE we have and it is all we need! So this morning God is still in complete control as He has always been, He has a plan for us, once again as it was in the beginning, the ball is in our court. What are you gonna do?
Proverbs 19:21
21 There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 45:7
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the Lord, do all these things.’
Revelation 4:11
11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Psalm 115:3
3 But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases.
Romans 9:21
21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
Joshua 24:15
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
