"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." — Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King JR was a follower of Jesus. These words above are drawn off scriptures.
John 1:5
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:5
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
1 John 4:20
20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
All Martin Luther King JR wanted was equality for all men and women. He protested peacefully but was still victimized and persecuted and eventually killed! Today we celebrate His fight for equality which is what our country is supposed to be all about.
If you get a chance read His "jailhouse letter" it is very interesting and you can see where His heart is. No doubt He was a follower of Jesus and wanted to make this country a better place for all!
