Keep God in His Proper place….God!

Sometimes we seem to want to put ourselves in the position of God and as followers of Jesus let us always keep us God in proper position….God, Creator of all!!!

Psalm 89:7 

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,

And to be held in reverence by all those around Him.

God is God and we are not….let us remember that always and let Him be the authority and leader of our lives!

Remember God rules!

I am afraid society has forgotten for the most part that man does not rule but God does!!!

Hosea 11:9c

9c for I am God and not a man,

    the Holy One in your midst,

God is Holy, Just, Righteous, and Truth. He has given us a guide book for life and expects us to follow it. Sadly many do not know what it says and if they do chose not to follow it. Many even deny it is the Word of God! Woe to the nation that listens to man over God and I am afraid the United States is here in this condition. Revival can happen but it must start with each individual!

Pray my friends for those who listen to man instead of God!

Are you serving your purpose?

God has you here for a purpose. The first is to worship and have fellowship with Him through a relationship with Jesus Christ. and the second is what I want you to focus on in this devotion, it is this….are you reading the lost people you have influence with?

David had a purpose and so do you!

Acts 13:36a
36a For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation

Are you doing what God has planned for you? You only have so much time before, like David, God will call you home. How disappointing it will be not to have fulfilled the purposes of God in your life!

So let’s get after it, do you job and glorify King Jesus!

Do not be silent!

We have to be like Paul and do what God says and stand up for the Word!!!

Acts 18:9
9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent,

Share the gospel! Stand against sin like abortion, homosexuality, liars, drunkenness and the list goes on and on! Know the Word of God and stand on it! Do not be moved! Do not be silent! You are a representative of Jesus! BUT do it in a manner of love and humility! That is how Jesus did it and so should we!

Stand brothers and sisters…now is the time!

God’s mercy and Love for all!

God chose Israel to be His chosen people in whom He would redeem the World through His Son Jesus. God desires all come to Him for salvation. Be thankful for God’s mercy and love to all people through Jesus. Here is God’s plan revealed 100’s of years before Jesus, read it carefully and then obey it!

Isaiah 56:1-8
Salvation for Foreigners

Thus says the Lord:
“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
for soon my salvation will come,
    and my righteousness be revealed.

Blessed is the man who does this,
    and the son of man who holds it fast,
who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it,
    and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say,
    “The Lord will surely separate me from his people”;

Come to God…He loves you and has provided a plan to redeem you but it takes a move by you. Are you willing? Where you spend eternity depends on it…heaven or hell. But more importantly the One who made you deserves your worship and obedience and as for me I will love and follow Him til the day I die!

Think long and hard on these words today from the Word of God:

1 Samuel 2:2 

2 “There is none holy like the Lord:

    for there is none besides you;

    there is no rock like our God.

Are you following the Lord? If not you are making a huge mistake because He is God!!! If so awesome! Keep it up and be obedient to His Word!

No One Is Like Our God!

As you start another day it is important to remember as a follower of Jesus:

Exodus 15:11

11 “Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?

    Who is like you, majestic in holiness,

    awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?

There is no one like our God!! Nothing, zero, nota, zilch can even scratch the surface of our God!!! So give Him the praise due His name and live for Him this day!!!! Also tell someone about your God for there should be no shame in being a follower of Him!

2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;

Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

This is so simple but true! What is God due? Worship!!!! God is God and deserves worship from His creation. Especially the ones who were created in His image……you and me!!!

So are you giving God His due? Not just one day a week but every second of every day by living a holy life and glorifying His Name! 

We are  made for one thing in particular….worshipping our Creator……are you giving God His due?

God Alone!

The bible makes it clear there is only ONE GOD and HE IS GOD ALONE!

Nehemiah 9:6 

6 “You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.

God made you and all of creation. If creation worships the Lord then don’t it make sense that we who have a choice ought to worship Him as well???? We are the only ones in some cases dumb enough to chose to worship self or something other than God!!!!! Not to bright huh?

“As for me and my house” as Joshua said We will serve the Lord! I pray you make the same choice as well and help steer others in that direction as well!

Jesus is CHAMP!

Why would we choose to follow anything of the world or the devil??? It is clear Jesus is the Champ!

Colossians 2:15 

15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

Jesus defeated death, sin, demons, the devil, evil man, and anything else that came to Him in opposition. He is God! So why in the world would we follow or trust anything or anyone else?

I am following the CHAMP, how about you????

Do you speak up or not?

God ’s Word is clear…when we have the opportunity to share or speak up for Jesus it is our duty to do so:

Matthew 10:33 

33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

If we do not share and speak up for Jesus it is the same as denying Him. Are we ashamed of the one who died for us and set us free???? Then speak up!!! It sure would be a shame to get to heaven and Jesus to deny knowing us because we never spoke up for Him!

Is Your Wisdom From Above?

We can get our wisdom from the world or from God. Where do you get your wisdom from? You can know for sure by this verse:

James 3:17 

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

When our wisdom comes from God we will show these characteristics:

1. peace
2. gentle
3. open to reason but standing on the Word
4. mercy
5. showing good fruits
6. impartial
7. sincere

If these describe you there is a good chance your wisdom comes from God but if not then it is coming from the world. We do not want a mix either! We want all the characteristics of our Lord!

Be wise…imitate Christ!

100% always right!

How many things in life can you say without hesitation that it is 100% truth and 100% right ALWAYS? I can only think of ONE!

Proverbs 30:5 

5 Every word of God proves true;

    he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

God and His Word has proven over and over and over to be 100% right and true. As far as I know nothing else can claim that track record. So why would we place our trust in anyone or anything else???

Take refuge in God, you will never be disappointed!

Someone needs these Words today!

Someone needs to be reminded of these Words from the Lord today:

Luke 1:37

37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

No matter what you are facing today remember these Words! Also remember God knows all and God knows best, so what ever the outcome it is God’s will if you are being obedient to His Word in your life. 

Thank you Lord fo being in control of all, nothing surprises you and you know far more than we can fathom. I trust you where ever you lead, help me be the follower you have called me to be!

Don’t know where to go in life?

Here is the answer for those who don’t know where to go in life and for those who think they know but have not went to the right place for counsel!!!

Proverbs 3:5-6 

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

It is pretty simple….go to the Lord! Seek Him with all your heart and ask Him to show you the way and He will! Put God in the proper place in your life which of course is number one and He will direct you paths!

God made this life so simple for us by giving us His Word….why do we make it so complicated?

Take a look around today!

Take a moment today just to stop and look around. Then think for a moment about all your blessings. We must do this often to remember this truth:

Psalm 33:5b

5b The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

God is so good! Nothing compares to Him. Praise Him this day and every day for He alone is worthy of praise, honor, and glory!

To the Light!

We live in a dark world and it seems to be getting darker all the time. There is only ONE answer….go to the Light!

John 8:12

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Until one knows Jesus as Lord and Savior they will walk in darkness. He is the source of light and gives us the only hope of eternal life in this dark world. We know as followers of Jesus this side of heaven is not our home. Heaven is our home and is full of the light, peace, comfort, safety, and love of God!

If you are not in the Light run to Jesus now! You will never regret it!

God is greater than we can fathom!

God is beyond anything we can even imagine in our minds. He is full of love for His people and wants the best for us! He is awesome! Look at a few of these verses that helps us understand His greatness:

Psalm 145:3

3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;

And His greatness is unsearchable.

Isaiah 40:28 

28 Have you not known?

Have you not heard?

The everlasting God, the Lord,

The Creator of the ends of the earth,

Neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable.

Romans 11:33 

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

Ephesians 3:8 

8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

Unsearchable means more than we can understand! God in greatness, understanding, judgements, and riches are more than we can understand and He is good and perfect in all the ways!

Praise the God and worship the God and serve the God who is more than we can fathom in our minds. For He is worthy!!!!
