True belief?

We must be careful! There is a belief with a relationship with Jesus and there is a belief with out relationship with Jesus. Look here:

John 2:23-24 

23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men,

You see here are some who believed in Jesus but did not have a personal relationship with Him as He knows all men....He knows our hearts. Let us not be caught here! Even the demons have a belief in Jesus:

James 2:19 

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

You see some believe in Jesus for what they can get but don't love Him. Jesus is not looking for that. Jesus is looking for those who love Him, follow Him, and are willing to obey even to death. Jesus knows our hearts!!!

Are you a follower or a pretender???

Do you have life?

Only one place to truly have life....in Jesus.

John 1:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

A few things to notice in these verses:

1. Life is in Jesus....abundant life here on earth and eternal life in heaven.

2. Jesus is the only light in this dark sin filled world.

3. When in sin we do not understand Jesus until He illuminates us with the Holy Spirit!

Are you in the dark or in the Light? Come get life....Jesus. Until you do you will not be fulfilled or have the peace that only God can offer!

Jesus is the answer! Is He your greatest desire? Can you think of someone or something you need more? God created us with a hole in our hearts that can only be filled by Jesus! Fill that hole with Him....you will find peace and satisfaction that only God can provide!

There are no righteous!

Read this verse:

Mark 2:17 

17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners,[a]to repentance.”

Jesus came to save us all because all of us are sick, all of us are sinners. Let us never forget that!

Romans 3:10 

10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;

The only way to be right before God when judgement come is repent and put you faith in Jesus! Then we are declared righteous because of the shed blood of Jesus covering us!

Where is your heart set?

I read this and it spoke to me! I hope it does you!

"Rehoboam did evil, for he did not set his heart to seek the Lord. 2 Chronicles 12:14

From Adam and Eve, through every earthly sovereign and serf, to the final antichrist, this is the root of all evil and sorrow—“he did not set his heart to seek the Lord.”

This was from John Piper's twitter account.

Notice we have a choice of where we set our hearts! We either chose to set our heart on seeking God or set out hearts on seeking the world. Only one choice is truly satisfying and that is God of course!

So where is your heart set this day? Eternity in heaven depends on your choice!

From time to time we need to see this verse and think about it deeply!

Matthew 6:15 

15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

It is hard to forgive others who have wronged us or maybe even wronged someone we love dearly. But God is very clear here. Don't miss it. If we do not forgive God will not forgive us! That is huge! We have sinned against the Almighty God and through Jesus He will forgive us. If He can forgive us then we must forgive others!!!

Chew on that today and often!

You make the choice!

I ran across this quote by Billy Graham this morning:

"God never leads us to do anything that is contrary to the Bible." Billy Graham

Truth! You and I make the choice. We can either follow God's Word or we can chose to disobey it. God will never lead anyone to do something contrary to His word! We must remember that!

So today will we follow the Word of God or follow our own desires regardless of what God says?

Exactly what is happening!

As Isaiah pronounced this woe many years ago this is exactly is what is happening here in our country today!

Isaiah 5:20 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Killing babies in the womb, homosexuality, drag queens teaching our kids at the library, kicking God out of everything, and I could go on for hours!!! Do no for ourselves....God will not allow us to celebrate these things He will send judgement!

The only thing can save us as a nation is a turning back to God! Revival for the saved! Salvation for the lost! Putting Jesus back on the throne! Lord have mercy on this nation!

Pray brothers and sisters....pray!

Reminder to the world!!!

I seen this today and thought it was a good time to remind the world:

You may deny Him. You may mock Him. You may hate Him. You may blaspheme Him. But you will bow down to JESUS CHRIST and call Him Lord one day.

Philippians 2:9-11 

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

One is wise to bow in submission to follow than to bow in judgement of their soul to hell!

Be correctable!!

Nobody likes to be wrong. Nobody enjoys being corrected. As followers of Jesus though we must be different than than the world and learn to be correctable especially from the Word of God and wise saints!

Hebrews 12:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

When we are correctable look at what it will produce in the end. Peace by being righteous before our heavenly Father as we live out our lives on this side of heaven. So be correctable no matter how hard it is and how much pride you have to swallow!

Set foundation for children.

It is of utmost importance that you set the foundation for your children in Jesus Christ and the teachings of the bible. It is your job parents or guardians!!! The church is an assistant and should be a key part but the number one source is you! Bible reading, teaching, prayer, and example setting of obedience of the Word begins with you! If you set the foundation....most will not turn away and if they do for a time will usually come back!

Proverbs 22:6 

6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Let us not neglect our duty from the Lord! Eternity for your child will depend on it!

As we celebrate this great nation today may we all take time to think how this nation was founded!!! On the bible and it's principles. As God as the head of our nation. May we have a revival and turn back to Him and be a blessing to Him as He has blessed us greatly! But don't be fooled, if we continue to promote sin and blatantly sin in His face by breaking His instructions in His Word....we will face judgement soon! So may we as a nation:

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Seek His face America and obey His Word!

How many times a day do you praise God? Here is what God's Word recommends:

Psalm 113:3

3 From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.

All day long!!!! The Lord is worthy to be praised and His children should praise Him all the day long with everything we have!!! So the question is do we???

God gave us a guidebook for life...the bible. Do you know it? Do you read it? Do you study it? It seems like common sense to me that if we are followers of Jesus we would read, study, and obey the Word of God. Sadly many don't and thus they are fooled by the devil. Don't let that be you!!!! Spend time in the Word everyday! Let God speak to you!

Matthew 4:4  

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

You got life?

Have you ever heard somebody say...."this is the life"? Usually referring to a present situation that they are enjoying like a vacation in a beautiful location. While that is enjoyable it really isn't "the life"! God tells us what "the life" is here:

1 John 5:12 

12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

If you have Jesus as Lord and Savior you have LIFE! If you don not you do not have LIFE!

One had better sit back and think about that for a while. God gives you the abundant life while serving Him here on earth and He gives you eternal life through Jesus!!!
