A priority for you in 2021!

I just read this and thought this is worth a share:

John Piper: "“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16–17 If you really believe this—that the Bible is the word of the Creator of the universe—one priority for 2021 is set."

Make God's Word a priority in your life this year and for the rest of your life!

Watch your mouth!

The Lord is clear in His Word that we become new creations when we belong to Him which includes what come out of our mouths!

Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

1. Is anything that comes out of your mouth corrupt? Would Jesus say it?

2. What comes out of our mouths is to build people up.

3. What comes out of our mouth should give grace! Like the grace God gives us!

Let us think about what we are letting come out of our mouths and may the things we say bring glory and honor to God!

Know like Job!

May we all be like Job and know God!

Job 42:1-2

Then Job answered the Lord and said:

“I know that you can do all things,

and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

1. God is in control.

2. God can do anything He wants.

3. Nothing can stop God.

Why would we chose to do anything else than follow God and His Word?

In the dark or in the light?

We all have a choice in life. To walk in the darkness of the world led by Satan himself or to walk in the light of God led by Jesus Himself.

Ephesians 5:8

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

Have you make the choice to follow Jesus and get rid of the darkness and walk in the light of God?? It is each individuals choice but it has eternal consequences. Heaven and hell are on the line. God does not make the choice He allows us to chose! Walk in the light of Jesus!!!

All that needs to be said!

Luke 2:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Do you know Him???

O Holy Night – Tommee Profitt feat.Tauren Wells & SVRCINA (Official Musi...

Think on these things!

Over the next couple days during Christmas take time to sit down and think about these things:

Matthew 2:10-11

10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

1. The star represented the Messiah had arrived! Are you overjoyed at knowing there is a Messiah and you can know Him?

2. The wise men sought out the Messiah. Have you sought out Jesus to be Lord of your life?

3. When they found Jesus they fell down and worshipped. Are you worshipping King Jesus?

4. They gave gifts to Jesus. Are you giving your gifts to Jesus? Devotion, time, service, love, sharing the gospel, meeting the needs of others to name a few.

Christmas is a time to reflect about Jesus and your relationship with Him. Do so!

May this be said of us!

Our goal as followers of Jesus should be what is said of these two:

Luke 1:5-6

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

The bible says Elizabeth and Zacharias were righteous before God, walking in His commandments, and blameless. Now they were not perfect but they strived to live godly lives and did so very well!

So let us ask our selves are we living our lives to be righteous before God??? That is what God desires from us!

Very clear!

God makes it very clear in scripture:

Isaiah 43:11

11 I, even I, am the Lord,
And besides Me there is no savior.

One God, One Lord, One Savior and His name is Jesus!!!

This means there is only One way to heaven and that is through faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Have you put your faith in Him? Do it today!!!!

Talking gifts.

As Christmas day approaches gifts will be given out too many. Take a moment to remember this:

James 1:17

17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

All gifts/blessings come from God!!! Remember that when anything good happens to you! It is from God with the biggest blessing of all being Jesus who came to take away the sins of the world for those who put their faith in Him!

Thank you Lord fo all your amazing gifts! There is no doubt you love us!

Thank you Lord!

A good reminder for this season of life we are living in right now. The virus, school, loneliness, lack of money, pain, sorrow, and you can add to the list. But as long as we have Jesus then we can:

1 Thessalonians 5:18 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Praise the Lord for He is good!

You must do!

Let us be reminded to day of this verse:

Colossians 3:13

13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

As followers of Jesus we are told to:

1. bear with one another-especially in wrong doing

2. forgive one another-as we all make mistakes

3. if anyone has a complaint-pretty sure everyone has someone who has a complaint about us

So as our example Christ forgave us we are to forgive others! Not an option as it says so you also must do!

It is not easy but we must forgive others!

Is your light shining?

God wants us to shine for Him!

Matthew 5:16

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Is your life being lived to do good works for God? Sharing the gospel, loving others, and striving to be sinless glorifies God! It takes intentional living to do so!

So are you glorifying God???

Need some heart?

Need some heart this morning? Need some strength and courage to face the day? I have good news!

Psalm 31:24

24 Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.

Put your trust in Jesus and he will provide the strength and courage you need to face this day! He will be with each and every second! God is good!

Follow Jesus you won't regret it!

Are you His friend?

Read this and think on it a while:

John 15:14

14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Jesus said if you are His friend you will obey His Word! So the opposite of that is if you are disobeying His Word you are not His friend.

So the question is....are you His friend or not??? Chew on that today!

Somebody needs this today!

Somebody needs to be reminded of this today!

Luke 1:37

37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Keep the faith! God loves you! Remember nothing is i possible with God when it aligns with His will!

Know Jesus is...

 Read this:

Romans 12:12

12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

1. Rejoice in hope----knowing Jesus is coming to get His followers soon!

2. Patient in tribulation---knowing Jesus is with you and will see you through!

3. Steadfast in prayer---knowing Jesus hears you, loves you, and loves fellowshipping with you!

Jesus is our Lord and He died for us! Let us not forget He never leaves us. Praise His Holy name!!!

Where comfort and hope are found.

Read this:

Romans 15:4

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

If you want comfort and hope get in the Word of God. God in His great love has given us the answer to life...His Son Jesus. We are told all about Him in the scriptures and He tells us how to follow Him and have an abundant life. There is only One way and that way is following Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life!

Get in the Word and be comforted and have true hope!

Are you?

This is a command from Jesus:

John 15:12

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Are we loving others as Jesus loves us? It is not an option and it is not just for whom we choose to do so to. We are to love all others and bring the good news of Jesus to them and help them in whatever ways we can!

So are we loving others? Let's get busy and glorify God by doing so!

Don't be troubled!

Let us remember this verse at all times!

John 14:1

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

God is in control. There is very little we can do about most situations we come upon each day. The part we can do let us do it as Jesus would do and leave the rest up to our Lord! He loves us and always knows whats best!

So don't be troubled we serve and love a faithful God who loves us so very much! Give it all to Him!

Thankful God is on my side!

I don't know about you but I am so thankful God is on my side!!! Remember though the reason He is on one's side is because they put their faith in His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He is not on your side until you do so!

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness! May I be faithful to you in return and glorify your name!
