Do you have a shield?

 “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5

When we know God's word is true. Then we read God's word to learn of Him the way He desires for us to live. Then we apply His word to our lives. Then we trust Him and He is our shield and refuge for our lives and His word proves true! Oh what an amazing God we serve!

Separation to reconciliation!

Great news from God's word!

 “Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

“God through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:18

These two verses are very important to us! One says sin has separated us from God but then we get the good news that Jesus has reconciled us to God by taking our sins to the cross and sacrificing himself on our behalf!!!

Chew on that today and give God some praise!!!

Help me to see!

 Lord help us to see everything you want us to learn, know, and apply in our lives from your word!

“Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.” -Psalm 119:18

Your word Lord is full of your wisdom that we need to live a holy life to be pleasing to you! Help us Lord to see it and obey it in every area of our lives! Thank you Lord for giving us a guide book for our lives! We are grateful!

Mindful of us!

 Psalm 8:3-4

When I consider Your heavens, 

the work of Your fingers,

The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 

What is man that You are mindful of him, 

And the son of man that You visit him?

Have you ever thought about all that God has created and how powerful He is yet He made us in HIS image and loves us and is mindful of us! Wow just think on that a while. God loves us so much and desires a relationship with each one of us. He is worthy of our praise!!!

Thank you Lord for being mindful of sinners lie us but yet loving us and providing salvation through your Son Jesus! All glory and honor to You!!!

Simple advice for us from the word of God. Speak kindly to one another. Not only is is good foe the hearer but it also is a blessing to the speaker as well. Set the example as a follower of Jesus and be kind to others!!!

 “By means of his own blood Christ secured an eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12

Eternal redemption has been secured by the blood of Jesus! There is no better news than that! Because of Jesus, when we put our faith in Him as Lord and Savior our eternity in heaven is secure. No one can take it away for it is secure in the hands of God! Thank you Lord for providing salvation we are eternally grateful!!! Praise the Lord!

Jesus fulfilled these when He was on earth as an example to us to do the same to others. Be loyal to your family and friends. Be a brother to those in need and spread the love of Jesus every chance you can! Be a difference make in this world!!!

 Hebrews 12:2

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Only one place to look in our lives for faith.....Jesus! He set us free by the cross and is sitting by the Father awaiting the time to come and brings those who put their faith in Him home!!!

Are you honoring the Lord?

 Proverbs 3:9-10

Honor the Lord with your wealth,

with the firstfruits of all your crops;

then your barns will be filled to overflowing, 

and your vats will brim over with new wine.

This simply means give back to the Lord what He has blessed you with. This was basically their wages in this time period. So what are you giving back to God in the area of your wages? The church must be supported as it was formed by God and it needed to spread the good news of Jesus and the fellowship of the saints!

Give as God has called the saved to do so and be blessed!

Why we need Jesis!

 Romans 3:10

10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;

This is why we need Jesus. None of us are righteous on our own. We can not be in the presence of God in our condition. Jesus came and shed His blood to our sins away on the cross. When we put our faith in Jesus we are cleansed by His shed blood and thus are righteous in the eyes of God and then van be in His presence in heaven for eternity.

You and I need Jesus! Have you put your faith in Him as Lord and Savior of your life???

To strive to not sin against God is to know His Word and keep it in your heart and mind which to do you must read it and study it often! If we don't know God's Word how do we know what He considers sin? We don't! So make sure you are in the Word of Go daily!
