John 6:67
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
When hard times come many who followed Jesus walked away and then He asked His disciples the question above. So let me ask you is there anything that would make you walk away from Jesus??? If there is we need to look at our faith for He told us hard times would come but to remain faithful for our home is in heaven not in this world!!!

Power of God!
Romans 1:16
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
We as followers of Jesus are to proclaim the gospel as much as we can for it is the power of God to bring people to salvation! Are you sharing this power with others? We can't be ashamed of the gospel but must proclaim the good news!!!
May we be busy doing the work God has called all of us to....sharing the good news of Jesus!!!

Love your enemy!
One of the hardest commands of Jesus:
Matthew 5:43-44
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 [a]But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
It is easy to love those who treat you well and love you in return, however it is overwhelmingly hard to love those who dislike, hate, abuse, and cause you great stress!!! This is what separates those who follow Jesus from others as we have the power of the Holy Spirit to forgive and love like Jesus because we know our fight is not with the person but with Satan.
We love the hard to love because we want them to see Jesus in us and come to Him and follow Him as Lord and Savior!
So how are you doing in this area???

Do you have life?
1 John 5:11-12
11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
we must ask ourselves and ask others....do you have life or are you dead? It is one or the other. If you have Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life then you are alive, however if you do not have Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life you are dead and headed for hell!
Get life....come to Jesus. He loves you and died for your sins and resurrected on that third day! He is waiting for you to come!!!!

A good reminder for us this Monday morning. God loved us in our sins and sent Jesus to die for them. May we love others and forgive them if they sin against us. Let us show our love to others and draw them to Jesus!!!

Golden calf
Preached on the golden calf yesterday that Aaron made while Moses was on Mountain with God for the people who wanted a god to worship not long after they had told God they would obey His commandments!
Exodus 32:1-4
Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us [a]gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”
2 And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf.
Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
Here is where they they said "we will do"
Exodus 24:33 So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the [a]judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has said we will do.”
The point…don’t bring idols into your life when you are a follower of Jesus! Anything that takes Gods place in your life can be an idol!!! Beware!!!

1 Corinthians 10:1-12
Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. 7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

gospel Part 1
I have started a new book by David Platt called "Don't hold back" and he shared a definition of the gospel that I though was pretty good so I want to share that with you in 3 parts over the next few days to think on:
The gospel is the good news that the one and only true God, the loving Creator, sovereign King, and holy Judge of all, has looked on men and women wonderfully, equally, and uniquely made us in His image who have rebelled against Him, and separated from Him, and deserve death before Him, and He has sent His Son< Jesus, God in the flesh, to live a perfect and powerful life, to die a sacrificial and substitutionary death, and to rise from the grace in victory over sin, Satan, and death.

This is exactly what The Lord Jesus has done and will do when He comes back soon! He is the Victor, He is Truth, He is Humble, He is Justice, and by the power of His Right Hand His Kingdom will be set up forever and ever and all His faithful followers will be with Him for eternity!

In life we will find that nothing satisfies us more than Jesus. We can try drugs, alcohol, relationships, food , and the list can go on and on. We are made with a piece of us missing that can only be filled by a relationship with Jesus our Lord and Savior.

This is the answer to life! If we do not recognize the God who created us we miss the whole point. I relationship with Him and an opportunity to spend eternity with Him.
He is my God and I trust Him....do you???
