Can't forgive? Watch this...very powerful!

God’s Word will AWAYS win!

Many of us know what God’s word says but we still chose to disobey it! Why? We know in the end God’s word will accomplish what He desires it too with or without us!

Isaiah 55:11 

11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,

And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Why in the world would we want to miss out on God’s blessings by choosing not to do as He says in every area of our life? Let us this day commit ourselves to doing and obeying God so we can be a part of accomplishing the will of God and reap those blessings with a shout of joy!

Only one thing removes sin!

The precious blood of THE LAMB! Jesus!

John 1:29 

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John the Baptist knew who Jesus was and what He came for….do you?

He came to save you and I from our sins by shedding His blood upon that old rugged cross on the hill of calvary. His shed blood for your sins, His death, and then His resurrection is the only way we get to heaven. Do you believe? I do!

Thank you Jesus for shedding you blood for sinners such as I!!!

Find a good spouse!!!!

Look What God’s Word says:

Proverbs 18:22 

22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord.

I believe this applies to a husband as well as a wife! God blesses us with a good spouse when we find them in the Lord! Meaning that they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and thus can help us in our walk with the Lord as well. These are hard to find but if you seek God and pray for that person if God wants you to have a godly spouse He will provide one!!! 

I am very fortunate to have found my wife Lea Anne. She loves God first and foremost and that is what all of us should desire in a relationship! I have obtained favor from God through Lea Anne. 

God has a certain someone for you….settle for nothing less that God’s best!

Fight the devil!

No excuse to sin!

As we read in scripture we have no excuse to sin when we are followers of Jesus. God gives us the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and we know when we are about to sin and we freely chose to sin or walk away from that sin! Check this verse out:

1 Corinthians 10:13
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Don’t miss what this is saying! God doesn’t not allow you to be tempted to sin beyond what you are able to bear!!! There is always the chance to walk or maybe even run away from that sin! 

So we have no excuse…always our choice! Let’s make the right choice every time and glorify the name of Jesus who saved us from the sins we commit!

Music Friday--Come to the altar of Jesus today my friends!

What do I love?

Think about this….do I love my things or do I love God?

1 John 2:15

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

From what this text says we can either have the love of God in us or we can have the love of things. It is not a little bit of both!!!! OUCH!

Thank goodness for the mercy, grace, and forgiveness of God huh? How many times do we chose things over what God desires for us to love…others and most of all HIM!

Where we spend our time, what we do during that time, and where we spend our money will be a pretty good indication of what we love most!

So what do you love….any changes need to be made?

Psalm 126:2

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”

As followers of Jesus let us enjoy life! Yes hard times will come but when we compare any hard time with the goodness and blessings of the Lord both here and when we get to heaven we can do nothing but proclaim the great things God has done for all!

Sing, laugh, and enjoy life for God is good! Brag on Him for He is worthy!

What fruit are you gonna be today?

That seems like a strange question doesn’t it? What fruit am I gonna be? Let’s look at God’s Word and it will make more sense to you:

Proverbs 18:21

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

You have a choice this day and everyday to be the fruit of death or the fruit of life with your mouth. Many time what comes out of our mouth is what is really in our hearts….hate or love. 

If we are followers of Jesus, we should have transformed hearts of love knowing that God loves us in our sinful selves that we should be able to love others as He has loved us!

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

So let us choose to be the fruit of love to all and be like Jesus!!!!

Let’s get on this Monday!

Well here we go….another Monday, right??? But if we get our minds in the right perspective, Monday can be a great day when live for the glory of the Lord!

John 17:4
4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

You have all day to bring glory to the Lord…are you going to or are we gonna spend the day trying to glorify our selves or even another person? As a follower of Jesus I think we know what we are supposed to do and it becomes our choice as to whom we will serve this day.

Each day glorify God by the life you live and then at the end of life you can say…I have finished the work you have given me to do like Jesus did!!!

Let’s go bring God some glory church!!!

Music Friday---The Truth----there is none like OUR GOD!

To Earn the Right To Minister To Others

For followers of Jesus to be able to effectively minister the Word of God to others we must do one thing….show them we care. Most people do not care what we have to say until they know we care about them. So let us always remember these verses:

Matthew 7:12
12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

John 13:34
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Love others and treat them right and you will earn the right to minister to them because they will know you genuinely care about them!

A sign for the follower of Jesus

For the follower of Jesus, one can see a sign in their life to see if they truly are a follower or have fooled themselves. Here is a verse that helps with that:

Galatians 5:24
24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Here the word of God says something very simple but very important:

“Those who ARE Christ’s” means those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus by repenting of their sins and making Jesus Lord of their life by faith alone.

2. “Have crucified the flesh” means have removed or are removing sinful desires and passions and are not acting upon them,

Now this does not mean you will never sin, but it should mean you are in a constant striving to live a holy life by the power of the Holy Spirit. If one is living in constant habitual sin the flesh has not been crucified and thus they are not Christ’s!

May God’s Word speak to us all and may all of us seek to obey the Word!

FACT: JESUS IS ONLY WAY

There are many in society today in whom the people follow who have stated clearly with their own mouths that Jesus is not the ONLY way to heaven. These are people if you claim to be a Christian or follower of Jesus you need to stay away from. Jesus, himself said this in the Word of God:


John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

That closes the case! Oprah, Joel Osteen, and others can say what they want but they are wrong! I choose to follow Jesus and the Word of God! 

Research folks whom you think are leaders as they may just be a wolf in sheeps clothing! Niceness does not always equal godliness!!!

Obey obey obey

Get priorities in line.

We can have all the money in the world but if we do to have God in the proper place in life then we have nothing.


Proverbs 15:16

16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord,
Than great treasure with trouble.

As long as you have God in His rightful place in your life you will have what you need. Not what you want perhaps but what you need. Do you have God where He belongs? Lord and Savior of your life? Remember what God told us in His Word:

Mark 8:36

36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

Our world has it backwards….get all you can while you can and forget God. In the end they end up in hell. Is it worth it? NO!

Give your life to God, love Him with all you got, live simple and help others. And when this life is over enjoy God for eternity!!! Are these your priorities?

Better think about it for we do not know what this day will bring!

Seek intimacy with God.

Only place to run!

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.”
Proverbs 18:10 

I just want to praise my Lord Jesus this day, for I know where my strength comes from….HIM! I know where to run in times of trouble…HIM. I know who made me righteous in the eyes of God…HIM. I know who keeps me safe….HIM. I know who gives peace beyond understanding….HIM! This day and everyday I will praise HIM!

Jesus Christ-King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I bow and worship you alone!

Lord Give us boldness!

We are to be living for the Lord and spreading His good news and love to all. How are we doing in fulfilling this? We all need to pray for this:

“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.“ Acts 4:31

If we are followers of Jesus we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us but the hard part is listening and obeying when prompted by the Spirit. May God goat us all the boldness of the disciples in declaring the Word of God and love to others at all times. 

We are the hands and feet of Jesus! Let’s get busy!

Want afflictions?

How much would it take for you to betray Jesus?

That sounds like a silly question to ask doesn’t it? But maybe we had better slow down and think about it for a while. This is what it cost for Judas to betray Jesus:

Matthew 26:14-15

14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

30 pieces of silver which was the cost to replace a slave in that day. Hmmmm.

So what would it take for you? Another drink? Another sexual encounter? A lie? A bribe? Some kind of drug? More gossip? Hate? The list goes on and on. 

So before we point the finger at Judas may we think about our own lives and make sure we are being faithful followers of our Lord and Savior not a pretender knowing we have no intentions of having Jesus as Lord of our lives!

In God I will trust!

Do you feel like God is distant?

If God feels distant to you I have the solution. Well actually God’s Word has the solution.


“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

God wants a relationship with you but you have to seek God. He let’s you chose if you want Him or not. So seek Him now and He will be there for you. Let me share a couple other verses:

Psalm 14:2

2 The Lord looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.

Jeremiah 29:13

13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

So you see the promises of God here….seek Him and you will find Him. Also don’t miss the point of doing it with all your heart not just a half-hearted effort as God knows us and what our motives are!

Commit your work to the Lord!

My soul’s rest is from God alone.

Until one figures this out in their life there is true no rest for their soul.
Psalm 62:1

1 Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.

God provides salvation for us and only through Jesus Christ are we saved. Thus we can only have true soul rest when we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. Then we follow Him and obey for the rest of our lives!

Why Fast?

When have you denied yourself?

As spoiled Americans we tend to get what we want when we want it. So let me ask you a question. When was the last time you denied yourself for the purposes of our Lord? Seriously, when?

Luke 9:23

23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Jesus makes it very clear that to follow Him we must deny ourselves!!! 

I think we had better think about if we are doing that and if not what are we going to do to be obedient. It is not an option!

New Year reminder that you a new creation!

Quickly get wisdom

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 NKJV

We must remember we do not know how long our life will be. So we need to get a heart full off wisdom as quickly as we can and continue to grow in wisdom until God calls us home. 

How do we get this wisdom?

First, decide to make Jesus Lord and Savior of your life. That is THE wisest thing you can do.

Second, read God’s Word and learn what God desires and does not desire from you. God’s Word is where you can become wise if you learn it and obey it.

Third, hang around wise, godly people. They can teach and show you how to be wise!

Fourth, pray for God to show you and give you wisdom so you can glorify His Holy name! 

Again there is no time to waste for the follower of Jesus for time is short! Let us be wise for God!

Remember How Great God is in 2018!

Live for the Lord in 2018 and remember how good He is to you. No matter how your 2017 went God is good and loves you so very much. May we all look to see how our walk with the Lord was and strive for improvement in our service and love to King Jesus!

Psalm 40:5

5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.

Oh how God has blessed us! May all praise, honor, and glory belong to Him!
