God bless those who gave all!

As we pause this Memorial Day to give thanks for those who sacrificed all so we can live free let us remember this verse:

John 15:13      

13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 

God bless those who willingly gave up their lives for us. God bless all the men and women who served in the armed forces. God bless those who are currently serving. We are thankful for all of you!

We must forgive!

 Mark 11:26 But if you do not forgive, neither will you Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

We must always remember this verse. God has forgiven us by the death of His Son. He is telling us we must also forgive or we can not be forgiven of our sins! This is not an option! Forgive others!

Created to do good!

 Did you know when you become a new creation in Jesus, you are now made to do good works??

Ephesians 2:10a For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

So are you being like Jesus and doing good works on a daily basis? We are His work, done with His own body upon the cross. The least we can do is good works in appreciation for what He has done for us and our love for others!

So get at it!!! Good works!

No envy.

 Proverbs 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day.

Here we are told not to envy sinners or they ways of the world and what they have. For their ways are not the ways of the followers of Jesus. We are to have a reverent fear of the Lord which will make us desire to follow His Word and be faithful to Him in all our ways. It takes self discipline to follow Jesus but He also gives us the Helper the Holy Spirit to give us the power to live obedient lives!

Be zealous after the Lord!!!

Psalms 121:8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in. From this time forth, and even forevermore! 

I am thankful this morning for God' Word reminding me that God has got me!!! When I put my faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior from that time forward and eternity God will preserve me not matter where I am!!! Now that is some good news to think about on this Monday Morning!!!

Jesus is life. If your main priority in life is anything other than Jesus your are doing it wrong. God created us for a relationship with Him and that must be our first priority.

Jesus is the TRUTH in all things!

 John 14:6b I am the Truth

When we want to know truth in life there is only ONE place to turn....Jesus. He is the TRUTH in all things and has blessed us by revealing truth to us in His word! All the truth we need to know can be found in the scriptures. We as followers need to be in His Word daily so we can learn all the truth He wants us to know and obey!

Know the Truth, Know Jesus!

Jesus is the Way for everything good!

 John 14:6a I am the Way

Jesus said these Words. Think about it very hard. Jesus is the WAY in everything we need: love, obedience, salvation, grace, mercy, sacrifice, helping others, honesty, truth, and the list can go on and on. 

Our lives need Jesus for He is the WAY in everything good! Is He the way in your life?

 Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As we see in this verse nothing can separate us from the love of God. He even sent Jesus to save us from our sins which prove His love even more to us. The only thing that can separate you from God is YOU! You make the choice to leave Him and not follow Jesus. I am thankful God loves us and I love Him!

Don't make the mistake of leaving God for He loves you more than anyone!!!!

Forgiving!

 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon You. (Psalm 86:5)

A great verse to be reminded of a few things!

1. Good is good.

2. God is for giving.

3. God loves you.

4. You must call upon God through His Son Jesus to be saved!

Have you called upon the Lord? If so GREAT! If not why not today? He is forging and waiting upon you to come to Him!

Brought low!

 The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low and He saved me. Psalm 116:6

What can be more simple than faith in Jesus? So easy but yet so hard. We are all brought low by sin but yet the love of God saved us by that simple faith in Jesus! What a grace giving, loving God we are blessed to have! He deserves all the honor and praise we can give! 

Thank you Lord for providing salvation for all who are willing to follow you. We are grateful!

Became poor for you!

 Though He was rich, yet for your sake Christ became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Think on this verse today. Jesus left heaven where He is richest of rich in His glory! Came to this world and became poor by taking your sin upon Himself so that we can become rich and become joint heirs with Him in heaven by placing our faith in Him as Lord and Savior! Wow!

Are we a blessed people or what??? Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice for us!!!!

Always remember!

 A verse for us always to remember about our amazing God:

“Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” (Jeremiah 32:17)

Nothing is too hard for God! He is in control and is taking care of everything as He sees fit. Trust Him! He loves you!

Don't Forget!

 Where is your bible? Do you know? Is it covered in dust? When have you read it last? For those who follow Jesus as Lord and Savior being in the Word on a daily basis is important! After all how you can you know what God desires from you if you do not know His Word???

Proverbs 3:1-2

My son do not forget my law. But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.

God's Word is a blessing to you if you know and keep God's Word. Eternity in heaven and peace are a couple of those blessings. We should want to spend time in the Word so we can bring glory to God!

Are you a child of God?

 Are you a child of God? According to the Word of God there is only one way to be a child of God.

Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 

Thats it! Faith In Jesus is the only way to be a child of Jesus. You can't be good enough, You can't earn your way. You can't buy your way. Faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the ONLY way!

So are you a child of God? You can be! Give yourself to Jesus and put your faith in Him today!!!

Restore!

 Part of our jobs as followers of Jesus is to help a brother or sister who has fallen into a sin.

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you are tempted also.

As we help we must do it gently and in love. We ave all fallen and know it can be a very difficult time. If we do not do it in this manner it may push them away. We also need to be careful not to be tempted to fall into Satan's trap ourselves for he can paint a sin to look very attractive to us!

So let us help restore others as God has called us to do!

God knows your heart!

Read this: 

Acts 15:8 So God knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did us.

We must know that God knows us! He knows what we decision we have made about Jesus Christ. Have we made Him our Lord and Savior or have we rejected Him? God gave the early believers the Holy Spirit and now He gives us the Holy Spirit as soon as we put our faith in Jesus. This proves He knows our hearts! 

We may fool man but we will not fool God. Truly put your faith in Jesus today for your eternity in heaven depends on it!
