What are thinking about?

 What are you thinking about today?

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

God tells us where we should focus our thought....what ever is true, noble, lovely, pure, just, good report, virtue, and praiseworthy! If our mind is on others things we need to adjust our thinking!

So what are you thinking about?

God loves us!

 1 John 4:10

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

One thing we must remember is God loves us. He loves us so much that He was willing to let His Son die on the cross for the sins you and I committed to pay the penalty of them for us so we can be with Him in eternity for ever!!! Proof of His love for us!

Think on that today!

In it's time.

 Isaiah 60:22

A little one shall become a thousand,

And a small one a strong nation.

I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

This verse reminds us that God is in control and everything happens according to His timetable not ours. Be patient and let the Lord have control of all things. Be sure to talk to Him through Bible Study and prayer. Be thankful that God is in control and not man!

Prayer for ourselves and others.

May we pray each day this verse for ourselves and others:

Honor and glory forever!

 1 Timothy 1:17

17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

This is what we are to be doing with our lives every second of everyday....giving honor and glory to our King and our God! May our lives show this everyday to a lost and dying world with the goal of sharing the gospel with them so they also bring honor and glory to the Lord!

Meditate on the Word

 Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

Look at what God's Word tells us here. A blessed life is making wise decisions and meditating on the Word of God which will help you make those wise decisions! When you do these things you will prosper according to God's ways!

So let us follow the advice of our God!

His love is upon me!

 Psalm 91:14-15

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him.

What a beautiful verse to think on today!

1. God loves you!

2. God will deliver you!

3. He sets you on high because He knows your name.

4. He shall call upon you and answer you.

5. He will be with you in trouble.

6. He will deliver you and honor you.

All of this for those who call upon Jesus as Lord and Savior! What an awesome loving God we have!

Praise the Lord!

3 Words on this Good Friday

 There are three Word we need to know and think about this Good Friday:

30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

It is Finished! Because Of the great love of Jesus for us He paid our debt of sin upon the cross.

It is Finished!!! Thank you Lord Jesus!

Bore our sins

 1 Peter 2:24

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Think on what this verse is saying today:

1. Jesus took our sins into His body when placed on the cross.

2. Now we are dead to sins and live for righteousness if we have put our faith in Jesus.

3. We are healed by the blood stripes of Jesus.

Oh what our Savior endured for you and for me. Thank you Lord Jesus we give you praise, honor, and glory!

I no longer live

 Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

As Good Friday approaches and we think about the death of Jesus for our sins we need to remember if you put your faith In Jesus you are crucified with Him. Your life no belongs to Him and you are a servant of God for eternity! If we are living for ourselves it is a sign we have not truly surrendered our lives to our Lord and are not saved!!!

So are alive for self or is Christ living in you?

Who controls all?

 Mark 4:39-41

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

This world can be a crazy place. We may wonder who is in control. When read the bible we can be assured God is in control. He is all powerful and can do anything He wants. He allows man to make choices and then we reap the consequences. One day soon Jesus will return and restore order and show all He is in control over all!

Come Jesus come!

We are to serve others!

 Matthew 20:28

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

As our Lord and Savior Jesus is our example. We are told He came to serve even unto death. We are to do the same. So let us ask our selves this day and everyday....Am I serving myself or am I serving others as Jesus wants me to do???

Don't deceive yourself!

 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9)

The bible is clear. We are sinners in need of a Savior. God sent that Savior in Jesus to die for our sins. Thank you Lord! BUT we still sin and need to take a bath to clean up when we do and confess that sin up to God and He will forgive us! Keep your relationship with God as pure as you can by confessing your sin when you fall short!

Wha an awesome God we have! Give Him the glory!!!

Do Accordingly!

 Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Some important things for us to grasp here in this verse!

1. Keep the Word in your mouth always!

2. Meditate on the Word!

3. Observe the Word and do accordingly.

4. If you do you will be prosperous and successful! Remember this is according to God's standards not the worlds.

So get in that bible and do accordingly!!!

All in all.

Chew on this today:

Ephesians 1:22-23

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

After reading this yesterday these words stuck in my mind, "Him who fills all in all." We look for things all over the place to fill different needs in our lives. Why? Jesus is clear that HE ALONE fills all in all. He is everything we need. Until one figures that out in life, life will be a struggle! He made us to be fulfilled in Him!

Think about that today and if you haven't filled your life with Jesus yet, may today be the day!
