This verse stuck with me from yesterday's sermon.
Colossians 1:10
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
1. Are we walking worthy of the Lord?
2. Are we fully pleasing Him?
3. Are we being fruitful? Ex. Sharing gospel, loving others, ect.
4. Are we increasing in knowledge of God? BY studying His word?
Chew on these today as they are important to our faith!

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
God blesses you with possessions, a job, money, and such. These are His that He lets you use. We are to use them wisely and honor Him in the way we use them. Think about that. He also wants us to support His church and help others with what He has blessed us with.
The question is are we? Also is there anything we do with our blessings that do not please Him?

Hebrews 3:4
4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
Some days it seems others are in control. As followers of Jesus we need to always remember who built all including us....God! He is in control. He has a plan and is fulfilling it before our very eyes. Somedays we may visible see it and some days we may not but it doesn't matter because the God who loves us is leading the way.
So no need to worry our God is in control and our God wins!

5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
The Word you need each and everyday and to start this week off..."I will never leave nor forsake you." Jesus is with us and will never leave no matter what this day or week brings!!! That is all I need to know!
Then we are reminded with Jesus as our helper we have nothing to fear for what can a man do to me when I have Jesus??

Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’ ”
When we have put our trust in Jesus to be our salvation, we have nothing to be afraid of! Not even death for when we die we will be in the presence of the Lord in heaven for eternity! Jesus is our strength and the song of our hearts for He has done great things for us! He is our salvation!!! Praise the Lord!!!!

God is always with us! He said He will NEVER leave us or forsake us. That is all we need to know! My God is with me! Whatever this day may bring we can face it with God!

Colossians 3:1-2
3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Once we become followers of Jesus our mind set should change. We should be concerned with what God tells us to be concerned with most...lost souls and loving God and loving others. To be heavenly mined we need to be in the Word of God and spending time in prayer so we know what God is thinking!
So be heavenly minded for the things of this earth will pass away one day!

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope.
As followers of Jesus we await the return of our Lord to take us home to glory with Him in heaven forever and ever! Thats what His word says and I believe it!!!

follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
It is clear here to be very careful of whom you take advice. The best place for advice is the Word of God. Read it and think about it all the time! Then you will know what God wants you to do!

I am sure you are like me and have lost a godly person seemingly way before their time for death should be!!! Then we wonder of all the people why them???
I was reading a book by Max Lucado yesterday and he shared this verse:
the godly often die before their time.
But no one seems to care or wonder why.
No one seems to understand
that God is protecting them from the evil to come.
Have you ever considered God is actually doing something awesome! Protecting them and bringing them home to Himself. How awesome is that!
So next time a brother or sister in Christ dies before their time may we remember God knows what He is doing and will take care of His own even if it means bringing them home early!
