Strength

 “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Where does your strength come from? True strength in life comes from a relationship with Jesus. It is a joy and honor to know and love Jesus and to be loved and known in return by our Lord and Savior!!! He is our strength in life and to trust in anything else for our strength is foolishness!

Thank you Jesus for being our strength!!!!

Wonderfully made!

Sometimes we need to be reminded of this:

Psalm 139:14

I praise you because I am fearfully and          wonderfully made;

    

God made you just the way He wanted to and you are wonderfully made! He loves you and you have purpose int this world. Your main purpose is to worship and serve Him the One who made you wonderfully!!!!

Remember this you are important to God!

God will show you!

 "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." -Proverbs 3:6

When we take our concerns to God in prayer and read His Word for answers He will show us the answers to fulfill His will in our lives. When He answers us it may not always be the way we want it to be but it will be the way He wants it to be. We always want to live in the will of God so seek it out and He will show you!

God wants whats best for you!

Love, mercy, and faithfulness!

This is our Lord!

 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” –Lamentations 3:22-23

Jesus is full of love for us! His mercy which we are in great need of never ends! His faithfulness surpasses all others. Oh what an awesome God we have!!! Remember these truths today and give some praise to you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Thank you Lord!

We just need to thank the Lord this morning and everyday for the great mercy, grace, and love God has shown us through the shed blood of Jesus to cover our sin!

“After all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, you, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserved.” Ezra 9:13

We deserve hell but God has given us Jesus...wow just chew on that awhile today!

Joy is coming!

 "For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5

Thankful for the mercy of God! Also that He pours out His favor on His children. No matter what comes our way we know that eternal joy is coming!!! Praise the Lord!!!!

Only way.

 John 14:6

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The ONLY way to God and an eternity in heaven is through Jesus which means we must put our faith in Him as our Lord and Savior. Many think they can be good enough or do enough good things or even think faith in another god will get them to heaven but these are false. Jesus makes it very clear..."except through me" means ONLY Jesus gets you to heaven! 

ONLY Jesus remember that!!!

Read this today and though it was good so I wanted to share it with you!

“The good hand of his God was on him. For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.” Ezra 7:9–10 A heart to study. A heart to do. A heart to teach.  

On such is the good hand of God. 

I want the good hand of God on me don't you? Let us be like Ezra!!!

Need to be reminded often!

 I need to be reminded on these verses often:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6

Keep trusting God. We know nothing, God knows all. Always acknowledge God as God and He will guide us in the right direction. Yes Lord help us always keep our focus on You and in the right direction, never turning to the right or left!

Joyful!

 "Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts." -Psalm 119:2

True joy in life involves God! That makes sense doesn't it sense we are made in His image and made to have fellowship with Him! When we are obedient to His Word and follow His ways when we find Him we will have joy! No true joy with out God! Thank you Lord for allowing us to have a relationship with you and desiring to have fellowship with us so we may have true joy!

Confess not cover!

 Proverbs 28:13

He who covers his sins will not prosper,

But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

It is clear in God's Word that when we sin we are to confess it up to God and He will forgive us if we have put our faith in Jesus. God knows everything we do so why would we think we can hid our sin from God? Do what He has asked and confess it up to Him which is admitting we have done wrong!

Confess not cover our sin is what God desires from us! Of course God desires we not sin at all!!!

Greatness!

 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:3

There is no end to the greatness of God! this is why we praise Him because He is everything in His greatness we need. He is love, He is mercy, He is grace, He is salvation! So as we start this week off let us praise the Lord for He is worthy of all the praise we can give Him! Praise the Lord!!!

Test for knowing God

 1 John 2:3

3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

If we know God we obey His Word. If you claim to know God but you do not keep His Word then you are mistaken. Know the Word and obey the Word as this is proof that you are a follower of Jesus!!!

Who are you relying on?

 “The men of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 13:18

Anyone who puts their faith in God and relies on His will prevail in the end! How do I know this? Because the bible tells us that Jesus won the victory over sin and death and all who pout their faith in Him will also have the victory and be a joint heir with Him in heaven! Praise the Lord!!!

Are you relying on God? No better time to start than today!!!

Are you doing?

 Pretty simple verse this morning:

James 1:22 (New King James Version)

 

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

If we are not doing what God's Word we are deceiving ourselves as followers of God. For a follower of God reads, learns, knows, and obeys God's Word. How else can we follow Jesus if we are not doing His Word? We can't! So ask yourself....am I doing God's Word. It is up to you and nobody else!
