Revelation #46

Alright here we go with Chapter 15!

Revelation 15:1-4

1Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.

2And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,

"Great and amazing are your deeds,

O Lord God the Almighty!

Just and true are your ways,

O King of the nations!

4 Who will not fear, O Lord,

and glorify your name?

For you alone are holy.

All nations will come

and worship you,

for your righteous acts have been revealed."

In verse 1 John tells us he sees another sign in heaven and tells us it was great and amazing! What did he see? Seven angels and seven plagues. We are told after these plagues the wrath of God will be finished. In verse 2 John says he sees a sea of glass mingled with fire. We seen this sea of glass before in Chapter 4 verse 6.

Revelation 4:6

6and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.

Remember this sea is of glass is a representation of pureness. Verse 2 continues on to tell us that those who conquered the beast, its image and the mark by staying faithful to Jesus are standing beside this sea of glass for they are now pure before God! These believers have harps of God in their hands and are singing the song of Moses which was the song the Israelites sang after their deliverance from Pharaoh!

Exodus 15

The Song of Moses

1Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying,

"I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously;

the horse and his rider[a] he has thrown into the sea.

2 The LORD is my strength and my song,

and he has become my salvation;

this is my God, and I will praise him,

my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

3The LORD is a man of war;

the LORD is his name.

4 "Pharaoh’s chariots and his host he cast into the sea,

and his chosen officers were sunk in the Red Sea.

5The floods covered them;

they went down into the depths like a stone.

6 Your right hand, O LORD, glorious in power,

your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy.

7In the greatness of your majesty you overthrow your adversaries;

you send out your fury; it consumes them like stubble.

8At the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up;

the floods stood up in a heap;

the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.

9The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake,

I will divide the spoil, my desire shall have its fill of them.

I will draw my sword; my hand shall destroy them.'

10You blew with your wind; the sea covered them;

they sank like lead in the mighty waters.

11 "Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods?

Who is like you, majestic in holiness,

awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?

12You stretched out your right hand;

the earth swallowed them.

13"You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed;

you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.

14 The peoples have heard; they tremble;

pangs have seized the inhabitants of Philistia.

15Now are the chiefs of Edom dismayed;

trembling seizes the leaders of Moab;

all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.

16Terror and dread fall upon them;

because of the greatness of your arm, they are still as a stone,

till your people, O LORD, pass by,

till the people pass by whom you have purchased.

17You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain,

the place, O LORD, which you have made for your abode,

the sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.

18 The LORD will reign forever and ever."

The song of the lamb is in Revelation 5:

Revelation 5:9-10

9And they sang a new song, saying,

"Worthy are you to take the scroll

and to open its seals,

for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God

from every tribe and language and people and nation,

10and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,

and they shall reign on the earth."

If you dont like to sing you better learn to like it for you will be in heaven!
