God will answer!

Another great day to be alive serving the living God! Thank you Jesus.

Today we get some good news! Yesterday we were beat down with how we should be sharing the Love of Christ in us by helping those in need. Today we will see we will when we are in Christ and loving others God gives us some promises! Here are the verses:

Isaiah 58:8-10

8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
"If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

In verse 8 we are told our light will break forth...in other words brightly shine. That is exactly what Jesus was trying to tell us when God's word says "don't put your candle under a basket". Let it shine before men!! Verse 8 also says healing will appear...wow. This could be both physical and spiritual. It could also mean healing with our fellow man in our relationships. I think it means all of these. When we get right with man and God healing of all sorts takes place. This verse also says our righteousness will go before us. Well my righteousness is like filthy rags as the bible says so it must be the righteousness of Christ in us that is leading the way because I in myself am not worthy to lead anything. The verse 8 closes with a great word...glory of the Lord will guard our rear...Praise the Lord! We have no reason to look back because God has our back...think about that this morning!

Then we go to verse 9 and 10...it brings a smile to my face. When we have Jesus in our hearts...we call and He answers. You won't hear better news than that all day!!! We cry out for help this verse says and He will say HERE I AM! Thank you Jesus..thank you!

The the word tells us...take the yoke away, quit pointing the finger, stop gossiping and hurtful talk, feed the hungry, meet the needs of needy and then our light will shine like Jesus...bright so all will see the love of Christ.

I hope God's word spoke to you today like it has me! Wow! If you haven't read the past two days please do as it amplifies this devotion today even more!

God bless your day...Tom
