Moses had it figured out!

Moses in Exodus chapters 24 through 33 had some up and down moments to say the least. He was called by God to the top of Mt. Sinai to receive the law including the ten commandments. What a time huh? Meeting with God. Then he came down to Aaron and the people of Israel to find what? They had made a golden calf to worship! Wow after all God had done and it did not take long for them to turn away from Him. Moses went to make intercession for them but a major change was announced. They could continue forward but God would no longer lead them, He would send an Angel to lead them! That is major! His presence was taken away. God would only meet with Moses at this point.

This troubled Moses, that God would not lead them personally, so much that He told God this:

Exodus 33:15

15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.


Moses knew the importance of God's presence! We need to make sure we have this figured out like Moses! We need God in every area of our life. We don not need to make any decision, go anywhere, or do anything without God's direction and presence!


In the end , God forgave Israel and led them because of the intercession of Moses. We all need to make sure we desire God's presence for without Him we are doomed!
