Don’t fall back to old ways!

Why oh why do we fall back into old ways at times? Even Paul admits to doing it saying he does what he doesn’t want to do and doesn’t do what he knows he should! As a follower of Jesus may we be the sample setters for the rest of the world! We sadly have a desire we have to fight at all times....being part of this filthy world who dishonors God by not being holy as He has called us to be!

Ephesians 4:17-24

The New Man

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

I seen a post on Facebook recently when some teenagers went to a restaurant who’s business is to feed them and make crude statements about them. Many are followers of Jesus. Is this where God wants us to be? Is this being a godly example. Sadly we as adults many times lead our children to these places and think it’s funny! Yes we will answer one day for this. Think folks think! We are to represent Jesus in everything.

We are new creatures in Christ! We all make mistakes and God will forgive if we ask but let us strive to be holy and Christlike in every area and every decision of our lives.
