What you need to know about Islam #12

So what books does Islam get their teachings from? Earlier I mentioned the Quran. This is their main book. As a reminder the Quran was made from revelations Muhammad received from Allah over 22 years written down by 12 companions of Muhammad. 
The books of hadith are also considered holy writings in Islam. The books contain what Muhammad said and did during his life as recorded by friends and his wives during his activities. Basically if Muhammad said or did it..then it is a teaching of Islam. These books have the same authority of the Quran.

The contents of the Quran and hadith make up Sharia and Islamic law, which are the duties of the muslim towards Allah, the god of Islam.

So what happens if the Quran or hadith do not answer a question of Islam? Here is the process if that is the case. Islamic scholars then try to find the answer found in Muhammad’s life..what did he do in that situation). If the answer can not be found there then the scholar looks at the life of one of Muhammad’c companions. If the answer can not be found there then they go to Islamic jurists called fatwas and they make an opinion which then will become Islamic law. These new law books of these developed opinions are called Qutb-al-fiqh. These are a wide variety of literature both ancient and modern.

Now there have been many books through the years from Islam leaders that have great value in the Islamic faith. Many of these books have been banned and even tried to be destroyed by Egypt and others but black market copies always survived and the radicals use these books even today.
For example:

Sayyid Qutb, who is known as the founder of modern jihad, wrote Signs along the road.

Shokri Moustafa, wrote many poems such as The battle, Immigration, Expectation, and his book called The Leader, which all told of his views of a weakened state of Islam that need to rise and take over world.

Sheikh Abed Al-Hamid Kishk introduced a new method of getting the Islamic message out...he speak at university campuses and then distribute cassette tapes to spread the messages even further. 

I think you get the point. Many, many sources of Islam teachings. Now the internet is used to spread the messages. Much material is used to spread the veil truths of Islam that traces back Muhammad. The true message of Islam is world rule. I don’t see how the message of peace can come from that except through deception when you get to the roots of true Islam.
