Heart #8

As we continue to think about our hearts this morning, I want you to ask your self where is the rejoicing of your heart this morning? Is it on your children, on the money to are making at your job, on a relationship, on an accomplishment in a sport, or something else. As a follower of Christ this is where it should be:

1 Chronicles 16:10
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!

The number one rejoicing spot for our heart as a follower of Jesus is on Him! Nothing else should even come close!!!! Is this true of you this morning? I am rejoicing in Jesus and one way to do that is in complete obedience to Him! When I think about the love we are to have for our Savior my mind comes back to this verse which usually smacks us right in the face:

Luke 14:26
26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

Of course Jesus does not want us to hate anyone, but when we compare our love and devotion for Him to our family, it should not even be close!!!! Is this true for you and me? Ouch!

So this morning are you rejoicing in the love, mercy, and grace of our Lord? There is NO BETTER place to be in life...none! Heart check time this morning!
